NNPCL Announces Date To Lift Dangote Refinery Petrol by Great100000: 11:59am On Sep 06
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has revealed that September 15, 2024, is the date it would commence lifting Premium Motor Spirit from Dangote Refinery.

In a statement by NNPCL spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, the Executive Vice President of Downstream of the Company, Adedapo Segun disclosed this while speaking on TVC News’ “Journalists’ Hangout” show on Thursday,

He stressed that NNPCL was awaiting the September 15 timeline provided by the 650,000 barrels per day Lagos-based refinery.

His comments come as fuel scarcity lingers nationwide despite the recent price hike.

Segun said that NNPCL is collaborating with marketers to “ensure that stations open early, close late, to maintain adequate fuel supply to meet the needs of Nigerians.”

“We are also engaging relevant authorities to ensure product diversions are prevented and timely deliveries to all stations are ensured.

“The scarcity should ease in the next few days as more stations recalibrate and begin operations”, he announced to Nigerians.

Recall that Dangote Refinery on Wednesday denied claims that NNPCL has started lifting its petrol.

This comes days after Aliko Dangote, the President of the Dangote Group officially announced that his refinery has commenced production.

So what will happen from now 6th to 15th September when NNPCL will start lifting from Dangote refinery? Where will they get supply from to feed the country?will they still be importing in-between this period to continue their subsidy scam,or they have enough reserves to fill in the Gap to ameliorate this fuel scarcity the country is experiencing? Nobody is asking this question.
I wonder why TRANSPARENCY is an enemy to government in this country

APC leadership Style 101:

1. Raise the price of the product
2. Make it unavailable at the same time
3. The people will suffer to the point that they’ll prefer the product is available at the outrageous price
4. Make the product available. The people will become thankful that it’s at least available.
6. Whenever they try to complain about the outrageous price, when they remember it could be scarce and they’ll pay more, they keep quiet.
5. You have effectively lowered the bar of leadership expectation
6. Repeat with the next policy
