This transfer levy already existed for senders, right? Now they're including recipients.

He said he will widen the tax net, he wasn't kidding. That's the only way he knows to generate money for his private jets and lavish living.

This method works in Lagos because the state was already the center of commerce for Nigeria with seaports vital to Nigeria's economy, but when you're dealing with a national economy which includes over 30 struggling states, you have to get more creative.

He is highly deficient in this regard, that's why Nigeria is in crisis right now from his policies.

This is why I support Peter Obi. His focus is on Nigeria's major revenue sectors to encourage production and exports. Widening the tax net only works for a vibrant economy else you will kill ailing businesses and there won't be new ones to replace them if you're not attracting them.

Do you know that the US imports up to 20% of their agriculture supply and up to 15% of their processed food from abroad? Guess who's on that top 20 supplier list? India, Malaysia, Thailand, and China. These countries have no borders with the US. In fact, they are further away from the US than Nigeria.

Do you know that the UK is a net importer of food, with up to 50% of their food products imported from abroad? Guess who's in the top 20 suppliers of agriculture imports to UK? South Africa and India.

But you can't achieve agriculture without fighting insecurity. You also can't boost oil production without fighting illegal refineries and other issues challenging oil production, and of course the heavy corruption in NNPC happening even with limited production.

Then you think about foreign investors. You have to be out there and have a respectable background as well. Obasanjo's first term in office was spent mostly on international trips abroad focused on rebuilding Nigeria's image, debt relief, attracting foreign investment, building diplomatic relations, and positioning Nigeria to secure a role in global governance.

These things are very important and can't be achieved by a leader enabling tribal bigotry among Nigerians as a means to keep their hold on power

What is wrong in this country that the poor cannot use escape route to make transactions all because u knew people are not using normal banks anymore due to their enormous charges now the OPAY people ran too yet u place fee on it again 🤔

So if people migrate to palmpay meaning in due time u Wil still tag 50 tax again 🤔
