Nairalanders Please Help, I'm Addicted To Stealing by Domaining101: 1:15pm On Sep 08
I've been battling this addiction since childhood and it's really really hard for me. I always have this urge to take something that's not mine when the opportunity presents itself. Mind you I'm not from a poor background. Yesterday i went to an MTN shop to at abule ado to register a new sim. When i went into the shop, nobody was in the shop but i saw a Samsung's phone charging on one of those airport type of chairs and i unplugged it and took it with the charger and just left like i was never there. I've been very worried since yesterday because I've been contemplating if i should flash and sell the phone as usual or just kindly return it. I'm beginning to get worried that i might land into serious trouble one day. Please Nairalanders i need advice. Because this act has put me in problem back then i my school hostel, it was my mother that saved me. cry

So we can track and arrest you.

TRY THIS...

Step 1: Visualize for a moment where you stole something and was caught and stripped n*Ked in public. Make it as vivid as possible and allow your consciousness to soak in this visualized world. Once you are feeling deep mental pains (a k.a shame) as if the scene actually took place, go to step 2.

Step 2: Vow that the situation described under step 1 will never be your portion.

3. Realize that the only way it will never be your portion is that "I WILL NEVER TAKE WHAT DOES NOT BELONG TO ME EVEN IF I DON'T MEAN TO STEAL IT SINCE I NEVER CAN TELL WHEN I MIGHT BE CAUGHT".

If you need further one-on-one guide, DM me. Success.

Hmmm....... You better "unaddict" yourself before it gets to the point of no return because right now everyone in this country is on red alert and you don't want the heat that comes with that....

We will track and arrest you with your details.

You stole that phone

We'd check this phone theft story from the MTN store and proceed from there.

For your own good, it better be false.

Bro you need help.
You need to see a counselor, from there I am sure you will be referred to a rehabilitation home, plus you will need to see a spiritualist also.A good celestial church or c/s will help out.

Stealing births Contempt and Shame when caught. I feel so sorry for your addiction but you can break free easily from the evil habit.

See... I was once like you. I stole at every opportunity that presents itself and always felt bad after the act. I wasn't hungry but had the urge to scale a fence just to steal a pot of soup from my neighbors.

How I Overcome the Stealing Addiction?

I am a skilled Painter who had a job to do somewhere around Ipaja. The compound I went to work was very private that every tenants having their own keys to the house's main gate. There was a certain apartment for some Yahoo Guys like that. The Occupants of the apartment wasn't around, I removed all the keys of the apartment I was working and went to try it on the Entrance door of the apartment which the Occupants weren't around. One of the keys unlocked the door and I broke in.

In the apartment, I stole 2 Samsung Galaxy 1 iPod and stumbled on an enveloped $4K. While I was still in the guy's apartment searching everywhere for valuables, I stumbled on those guys shrine. The wardrobe for the second bedroom was those guys shrine, filled with all sorts of fetish things from top to bottom and the smell was so disgusting.

I was feeling disgusted by the smell that oozed from the Wardrobe Shrine when the Occupants of the apartment arrived. They went directly to put on the generator when it occurred to me that I was in trouble. The apartment doesn't have an exit, the entrance is the same as the exit, so I was trapped inside. I know they were shocked to meet the door unlocked, they marched in hoping to find the burglar but I escaped what could have been my death provided those guys found me. I simply hid at the back of the entrance door, as they barged in swinging the door open, they marched into the bedrooms hoping to find the intruder, I simply sneaked out.

My heart was in my mouth cos those guys could have killed me on the spot.
That last experience made me ask myself some critical honest questions:
1. Is this how am going to continue endangering my life?
2. Are my dreams and aspirations going to die cos of a habit I can control?
3. Those who stole in the past and got caught, what was their fate?
4. I promised myself to change my world and influence my community and generation the best little possible ways I can. Is stealing going to make those dreams a reality?
5. Men I look up to in life, did they steal their ways to the top?
6. What if I got caught someday, wouldn't that be an everlasting stain on my dreams?

After answering those questions privately and sincerely. Then, I redefined my life, reaffirmed my Life Purpose, get my life on a new direction and never looked back till today.

Every Addiction seems hard to break until you find a great reason to let the addiction drift away. The thought of someone you love can help make the decision easy, your passion can make you determined to break free.
Find Purpose today and the rest would fall in place. I wish you quick recovery from your addiction. AMEN.

Addiction is just a thing of the mind⚠️

Fighting and controlling your mind is true power!!!

I once had an addiction with women until i fought and conquered my mind after realizing that most women have nothing to offer to a young man like me⚠️

In same manner, now you have realized that petty stealing has no value to add to your life.... Your only solution is to fight, conquer and take charge of your MIND💯

Real men always fight and conquer, so be a real MAN today my friend❤️
