Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has advised Nigerians not to expect Dangote refinery to be their ‘father Christmas’ for petrol.

The statement comes after the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, said the pricing of petroleum products from any refinery, including the Dangote Refinery, is determined by global market forces.

Sani, in a post on his handle on Sunday, stated that Aliko Dangote, the Chairman of Dangote Group is a businessman who is in business and not for social services or fuel charity.

He explained that the NNPCL still holds the ace for the stability and the future of Nigeria’s energy sector.

“Dangote is a businessman who is in business and not for social services or fuel charity.

“Don’t expect him to be your ‘Father Christmas’ for petrol. grin

“NNPCL still holds the ace for the stability and the future of Nigeria’s energy sector.

“I must caution you against the anxiety of waiting for manna from Aliko,” he wrote. cheesy

We are keenly observing the chess game being played with the lives of over 200M humans on the altar of utter greed, selfishness, and ego..

* After all previous shenanigans failed to yield the expected result, OVH (Oando) swallowed all NNPCL retail arm...check

* Then came the news that DRL was all set to hit the market with its products, all of a sudden, NNPCL now (OHV) decided to adjust their prices upward to a point where it'd be the end-users go-to at all times seeing how it'd be almost impossible for DRL to sell at that price point and break-even.

Remember not to forget that OVH (NNPCL) has got a blank National cheque to enable them play the game of Thrones with Dangote via an endless subsidy to frustrate him in the market and to also convince and turn Nigerians against Dangote with questions about "why would imported fuel be cheaper than DRL's home-refined one"?

The next news will be "OVH-Oando" taking over Dangote Refinery in acquisition...lol

I wished we could all truly understand the kinder and petty games these guys are using our commonwealth and lives to play.

Dangote can never forgive himself for venturing on this refinery project or even siting it in Lagos. But na God wey go catch all others like him catch am because he believed so well in his infinite "Any Government in Power" patronage and waivers.

A more greedy cunning man is in power now and he's willing to see Nigeria razed down and disintegrated in place of seeing anyone else get positioned as the wealthiest and most powerful man in Nigeria aside him and his family. He could even claim to be avenging MKO's deletion.

Interesting days and times ahead...

May it favor us all...

Everyone knows that Dangote is a business man, a private citizen.

The masses are calling out the disastrous TINUBULATION that is the minister of petroleum.

Tinubu is a weapon fashioned against Nigeria.

Toh

The price of petrol in Nigeria is still cheaper than in some countries even with the high subsidy being given.

The NNPCL and Dangote are not working together to fix the price of petrol in Nigeria.

I didn't bother myself to read this post. Is Dangote not enjoying a lot of benefits from the government?
What is the source of finance for the government? Is not from our collective wealth?
Nigerians have the right to make demands.

Nigerians! We are easily played!

Dangote isn't just a Businessman but a POLITICAL BUSINESSMAN. All the fights between Dangote and NNPCL is nothing but a show.

Whatever goes up in Nigeria doesn't come down, the same rule apply to the fuel price hike. Not even a Dangote Refinery can plummet the price of fuel in the country.

Nobody is interested in Mr Dangote'business but in the south-south artisanal refiners should be allowed to operate under the same global market forces, people are not expecting much from the fulani businessman because we have seen what happened with cement, flour, and sugar.Seem a particular trait run in their veins from cattle herders, army officers and businessmen.

Nobody says he is father Xmas,I blame the people for believing a deceitful government and their supporters who claimed fuel will be cheaper when dangote refinery starts.
One of them argued foolishly with me when I said it was all lies.
