When they dont have stable power to charge it, no good roads to ride on. Nothing wrong with copying what other countries do, but do proper research before adopting it. Kenya outclasses Nigeria on the E bike technology. |

Nice concept. But it makes it seem like we are all going back to the use of Okada, which was banned in almost all the states due to frequent accidents and robberies. There were sooo many accidents during the days of Okada on major roads that killed Okada riders and it's passengers whenever car passengers stopped and opened there doors. Some accidents were even due to direct contacts. Anything bikes or Okada on major streets can be very dangerous. |

Nice one .... Naptu2 .... interesting. The system of battery rentals makes a big difference that most wouldn't know. It's nice to say e bikes are environmentally stable because we only think of the lack of emissions. But the lithium batteries are hell to safely dispose of and are a greater risk to the environment... and a dangerous fire starter. If charging were done in homes ... then many buildings would've been up in flames when the batteries explode. It is the cause of more that 50% of fires in NYC ... a city with a well equipped and quick response fire department. it is very good the batteries will be in one location where all the safety measures can be taken. But I hope it is not in a residential area ... it is all by itself for if a fire breaks out there ..there is nothing the fire department can do to put it out. Lastly ...as a driver ...I do not like bikes .... they are super quiet and one would not know it is coming as with the other bikes. It is likely for a driver to run it off the road because he didn't know it came up beside the vehicle but |

In Nigeria is better to do this yourself, than rely on government Some places in the west, the communities contribute to do their roads and also spend to connect light and use prepaid. So anybody that plans to get the e-bike should better find a way to power their bikes by themselves (either through solar or electricity) Don't rely on government, better find your way yourself, before them play u handicapp 1 Like 1 Share |

That @Lagos Prince (without throne talkless of crown) will not see this type of good development he can beg his imo and Anambra states to emulate, instead he will only focus his attention on south west as if his own forgotten state is no longer existing. This is kind of what ekpa should have been pushing his Biafran governors to do or use his monthly Biafra donation to put up useful infrastructure that can benefit Biafrans instead of putting them on weekly killing alter and under lock and kill |

Fash20: Nigerians need to start embracing our local content. It is one of the effective way of killing subsidy without protesting anything. The suffering we will face will reverse the years of subsidising what we really don't need and want that had been brought to this country to corrupt what we really need and want. For example, how is it going to look like had we shun importation of fuel products or maximum protest is made against importation of petroleum products since the late 1990 and early 2000? I can guarantee over time and during those years NNPC will have put plans in place to build another refinery in Lagos, while Dangote and these marketers build theirs instead of few FG workers, NNPC and these oil marketers and players living fat on subsidy all these years. Nigeria will be better for it as that would secure our energy sector even in power supply for years that will drive development in every other sector. We would have been producing our own fertiliser for agriculture for years boosting food production instead of importing it. Many other refined products would have been sold elsewhere or utilised to bring in more money. It is a shame Nigerians hardly protest against importation of rice that discourage production of local ones all over Nigeria. Had we done that over the years we won't be complaining about our rice having stones and not standard. The government will be forced to bring in technology and encourage research and expertise into standardising rice production in Nigeria. |
