Jamb Regularization, Nysc Mobilization by h0pze3: 7:32pm On Sep 09 |
I enter polytechnic without using jamb(DPT) So my school told me to go and do jamb regularization. While checking my details the school sent to jamb they only used my first name and surname, no third name or other name and the school said they can't do anything about it that I might not go to service is there a way I can do it to update my details |

h0pze3: Don’t you know that courts exist and that affidavits are a legal option? Additionally, your middle name is not required. Your first and last name (surname) are the most important elements in any legal document. You’re concerned about something that isn’t actually an issue. |

99thEnemy:Hello, good day sir, I have an issue and would want your help. So, when registering for UTME in 2017, out of ignorance, I created the profile with a middle name, while all my documents has two names(no middle name. But before I was offered admission, I did the correction and sent the indemnity forms to my state's JAMB office as is expected when the applicant is yet to be admitted. Seven years after, the change still has not effected. I visited my school's students' affairs officer, he asked me if the name on fslc, waec, and NIN are just two, I said yes. He then asked me to take those documents to jamb office. I went to JAMB office, I was told that I would be notified through e-mail from Abuja about the change. I told them that since 2017, I have not received any response from them. My problem is the middle name included in JAMB, I want out. I still have a copy of the indemnity o filled and submitted in 2017 Please, I am worried. I just finished my final exams, by God's grace and have been worried my seven years in school would be a waste, because I can't serve. I don't know anyone in Abuja to help me, I am worried please. |

captainbangz: I don’t think your issue is very serious. Even if the middle name remains, it won’t stop you from proceeding. The key details are your first name (given name) and last name (family name). Discrepancies usually become a concern when they affect these two, but even that can be resolved with an affidavit. For instance, many people, like Atiku Abubakar, have had multiple name variations without it affecting them. Married women also change their last names without issue. In your case, since it’s just the middle name, you shouldn’t face any major problems. 1 Like |

99thEnemy:I thought so too, middle name is optional and should not be something to worry about or be difficult to change(remove or add), I believe that is why I was offered admission. I uploaded my WAEC(which does not have middle name) result to JAMB before getting admission offer. If it was an issue, they would have denied me admission Na. Thank you very much for you response sir. I have proceeded to make the change. I applied, submitted the indemnity form to my school for endorsement alongside other supporting documents and a newspaper publication. I hope to get a positive response from JAMB thank you. 1 Like 1 Share |
