In what has been weeks of continuous heavy downpour, residents of Maiduguri woke up this morning to an unfriendly neighbor at their doorsteps. Report has it that Alau Dam located few kilometers from the city had been filled to the brim, hence the flooding in most parts of the City. Cc: Seun Lalasticlala Mynd44 1 Share

Flooding is a natural disaster, but Lets find who to blame, we cannot blame Peter Obi because he wasn't a governor here, and we can't blame iponb because they won't have transport money to come here, so, we are confused. We will leave this thread and go find where to bla.e people. That's Nigeria. 1 Like |

I can't understand the weather conditions there days anymore. In PH rain hardly falls if it does, its mild so it is with Bayelsa State and most South South states. But what is wrong with the Northern States? |

saintopus:Probably climate change Also lack of good drainage system in most parts of the Northern states. State urban planning never planned the cities with a long term view, looking at the possibilities of what if the weather pattern changes one day. How will they cope. |
