How Do Nigerians Get Embassy Jobs? by Nature129(m): 9:17pm On Sep 11, 2024 |
Hi Guys, Hope your day was good. There's a job space we rarely talk about in this country and that's the foreign mission. If you go to embassies and consulates of countries in Abuja and Lagos respectively, you see Nigerians working in such offices. Although such administrative roles are often advertised online, landing such jobs is almost impossible. If you apply, they rarely get back to you. Sometimes, their regret emails drop within 24 hours. So, how do Nigerians who work as admin staff get such jobs? This question has gained urgency because foreign missions even pay better than international oil companies. In fact, the benefits attached to such jobs are similar to those some of the best overseas jobs attract. Do you work there or know someone who works there? How did you/they get the job?

You just have to look away from some things in this country if only you want to live long. One is working in such areas as: CBN PRESIDENCY NNPC LTD NASS POLICE (THOSE WORKING AT THE PORTS) Just apply for Army, police, with little "expenses" you'll be recruited. Hope you know why? 1 Like |

I have a friend working for the British High commission. She started working with NGO in Abuja, then got appointed a PA to a minister and landed the job same year I think. You have to be brilliant and show your workings through your current roles. Try getting in environments where relevant people meet. Residing in Abuja and working with NGO is very important for visibility. |

Hmmm im priviledge to know someone who just got appointment recently. I wont mention the embassy. He got the job thru his pastor who knows an insider. May our grace locate us. No secondary school certificate, no any form of qualification yet the guy was employed as warehouse staff and his earning is above 9000 dollars per year. That's more than a million naira per month. As we speak the guy has given employement letter and condition of service. To get the job in embasiew you have to know somone who know insider. 2 Likes |
