It would still result to billions of naira.
ejihand:
If Nigerians truly care about this country, why allocate 8 billion naira for an audit (fact-finding exercise)? Instead, they should engage local audit firms, provide them daily meals and accommodation in a comfortable hotel, and allocate 7 months for the process. Monthly stipends should be given, as a sacrifice for the nation.

However, corruption hinders such initiatives. Out of the 8 billion naira, 5 billion would likely end up in private pockets.

Those who refuse to do arithmetic are doomed to talk nonsense. This thread shows the low level of education amongst Nigerians in general

Start with simple question like how many accountants, accounting seniors, managers and executives does it take to audit 1,000 entities, multiply by their pay and tell me whether N8 billion ($5m) is enough

Before you type any further nonsense, just know if you pay 1,000 junior accountants $500 per month for a year, your wage bill alone will be $6m. We have not even entered the cost required for auditing foreign embassies which may require travel, or the level of pay required for audit managers and executives to oversee the process, nor softwares, licences and IT required to do the job

The summary of Tinubu administration ... lessser money from the govt to the people and more money to the govt to share and finance imcompetence

It still reminds me of how state governors took FG to court to demand excess crude savings be shared ... they won, more money was shared But not a single thing did Nigerians benefit

More money in Nig. equals more money to loot, never effectiveness, efficiency & competency

Same people believe a man will become president and turn the country around overnight, they do not understand the rot perpetuated by previous administrations.

How much does these 1000 ministries and MDA generate yearly?

What positive results have the office of the Auditor General produced in the last 5 years

How much have their Audit saved Nigeria in the last 5 years?

The AGF should answer these questions before asking for more money
Re: ₦‎8 Billion Not Enough To Audit Over 1,000 MDAs – Auditor General by Omoluabi16(m): 11:37am On Sep 12
Auditing is expensive sha. That's roughly 8million per MDA. Some of these MDAs may serve the 36 states.
However, there are still ways to cut that cost to the barest minimum. That's what tinubu is failing to do.

Do they not collect salary for loafing around all day All they need extra is to be stationed at their MDA for the period of Audit and communicate the results while there. Once the Audit is completed they go back to their ministry. I think the government need to sack this guy. By the way no government employee should be allowed to go to the press and talk anyhow like this. This is the work they are paid salary to do. Let them do their work. No other country pay any foolish estacode. They only reimburse expenses after you show receipt and it must be within a range approved by government or they won’t refund it.

If he want to claim that his staff will fly all over the country, hook them up digitally and let these MDA’s send their file by computer. They don’t even need to travel anywhere to do the job. All they need is access to the books digitally and excel files of that MDA.

I see APC winning..... PDP has been weakened by obaseki's myopic politics..... edo south is the strongest zone for PDP but LP will effectively play the spoiler by splitting the votes also the Wike factor in PDP with orbih and ihiama and other PDP leaders who wants their party back after the war of attrition against obaseki.
