My Industrial Training(IT) Experience With Farmhelp Agribusiness – Yusuf Victor by Vikoko21: 5:18pm On Sep 13
In Nigeria West Africa, It is a norms that every science student (either physical or medical sciences) to undergo some training in Thier respective fields of studies, to acquire practical knowledge of the things being taught in class before graduating from tertiary institution.

I as an agricultural student is not exempted from the training, and it’s a criterion of me graduating from the institution.

My Training In Farm Help Commenced On Friday July 12, 2024. On That Very Day We Were Opportune To See/Met The CEO Of Farm Help(IfeOluwa Oyeyemi) And She Explained How Farm Help Is being operated; Farm Help Agribusiness Is Divided Into two part, We Have The AgroChemical Sections where we sells chemical(Herbicide, Nematicides, Pesticides, Insecticide), Agricultural Products And Different varieties Of Seeds. The Second Section Which Is The HUB, We Call It Hub Because That’s where different activities of a farm takes place which include;
• sales of all agro inputs (warehouse)
• A training and aggregation center
• A greenhouse where modern seedlings are raised
• A model farm

My First Day Of Resumption At Farm Help Makes Me Believe Agriculture Is Wide Beyond What Have Been Thinking It is. We Were Told The Function Of The Screen House, Disease And Insects Pests That Affect Seedlings In The Screen House.

Working Along Side With Mr Joseph Taught Me A lot Of Things In Life, Which I believe Will Go A Long Way In My career as an agriculturist. I learnt About Time Management, Book keeping, Financial Analysis, Fertilizer Application, Raising Of Seedlings, Screen House Fumigation, setting Of drip tape for irrigation,Proper Management Of Screen House, Management Of Different varieties Of Seedling, Transplanting Of Different Seedlings And Making Use Of Soiless When Raising Our Seedlings.

In The Course Of Training, I had The Opportunity To Witness how drip tape is being set for irrigation which I also practicalize , how fertilizer is being applied to different plants, how onion and different varieties of vegetables is being raised from the seed level to seedling and how they are being transplanted.

I also learnt about functions and side effects of various chemicals when they are used in excess on plant, I learned about staking of tomatoes and using of seed trays to raised my seeds of different type. We also met with different seeds companies rep such as Afri Agri Products Ltd., Syngenta, East-West Seed among others

I Can Stand Firmly Anywhere That Farm Help Is The Best. God Bless Farm Help, The CEO, The Director And The Worker.
