Abia North: Sen. Kalu Flags off Construction of Ekeanyim/Mbaraede Road in Umuogele, Amuda Isuochi

The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on Thursday, 12th September, 2024 flagged off construction of Ekeanyim/ Mbaraede road in Umuogele Amuda Isuochi, Umunneochi LGA.

This was made known to the public through the former 9th Senate Chief Whip's official Facebook page, where he made bold to say that he is highly intentional and committed to giving the lives of the people a meaning, driving economic growth in the rural areas and bringing dividends of democracy right to their door steps.

Kalu also showed warm appreciation to the stakeholders of the community who came en masse to welcome his team during the road flag off.

"I am delighted to announce the commencement of the Ekeanyim/Mbaraede road construction project in Umuogele Amuda Isuochi, Umunneochi Local Government Area.

This significant infrastructure development is a testament to our commitment to improving the lives of our citizens and driving economic growth in Abia North Senatorial District.

I would like to extend my gratitude to all the stakeholders, including community leaders, party stalwarts, members of OUK Movement, and Reality Organization Umunneochi Chapter, who were on ground to receive my team during the flag-off ceremony." Kalu said.

The road flag-off was well attended by leaders of the community and several stakeholders. Present at the event were the contractor in charge of the road, Engr. Michael Offor, Chairman OUK Movement, Umunneochi, Comrade Basil Offor, Chairman APC, Umunneochi, Prince Ugochukwu Ezekwesiri, Chairman Reality Organization, Mr Chinonso Eke.
Representing the Amuda Community, were HRH Eze Wilson Obi Egboo, Elder Ozoemela Okereke, PG ATDU , Chief Ozodi and many others.

In an interview, the APC Chairman, Umunneochi, Mr. Prince Ugochukwu Ezekwesiri, also known as the Duke of Umunneochi, reported to our correspondence that Kalu is showing all working. Ugochukwu revealed that come 2027, the whole of Umunneochi shall send Senator Kalu back to the Senate, to show appreciation of what Kalu has been attracting to them.

"Indeed OUK is doing the talk. We shall reward him by returning him back to the Senate come 2027." Mr. Ugochukwu said.

You will recall Kalu has been very consistent and efficient in attracting roads to the five LGAs that make up Abia North Senatorial District, since he went to the Senate. His call to service has endeared him to the hearts of the good people of Abia North and Abia State, that they nicknamed him, "Orji Uzor, oru uzo; oji uzo eme ogo" (Orji Uzor the one who constructs roads and does road construction as charity).

Kalu has attracted over 100 roads across Abia North as a Senator in the space of five years.
