SoftP:You don't even know how culling are done and you're here trying to sound like you know what you're talking about. The elephants that are getting culled are Old and sterile ones they do not have much value except to occupy space and prevent younger and productive bulls from mating, they do not have much value as you think except for game killing via auctioning to rich white men. The money they get from the trophy killings are put into maintaining the whole reserve. Buoyancy indeed You don't really know how this things work. 6 Likes 1 Share |

/ I still cannot understand why African countries cannot feed their citizens. Haven't they heard of mechanized farming and artificial irrigation? They invent man-made problems to subjugate their citizens that they barely see as humans. / |

People from a country that probably doesn't have a single elephant left in the wild except in zoo's, telling a country with 84,000 wild elephants on how to manage their wildlife. If countries like South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Tanzania etc are reckless like one country people and eat anything that lives in the bush they wouldn't have 100 of thousands of elephants, zebras, giraffes, Lions, hippos and etc etc roaming their vast game reserves and national parks which are a sight to behold and are some of the natural wonders of the world. And I thank them for not being reckless like us who have totally wiped out our wildlife in the name of bushmeat and for preserving this beautiful animals. 2 Likes |

These type of news brings embarrassment to Africa. We shouldn’t get angry when they ask if Africans still live on trees. Damn, we really have a long way to go to catch up with other continents. |

RaptorX: Population density is the main cause. Any country with high population density will struggle to live with wild animals. They will definitely destroy their habitats to make way for agricultural lands, housing, roads etc. However, countries with low population density won’t have that problem since they have relatively enough lands to do all that and still accommodate wild animals in their habitats without disturbing them. Today, animals have very few natural habitats left around the world and that’s why governments go the extra mile to protect them from poachers, otherwise most of them would have gone extinct by now in all continents. |
