Can One Begin A Soft Drinks Business With A Million Naira? by ogashman(m): 1:40pm On Sep 17, 2024
I'm planning on starting a soft drinks business. I intend selling both pet bottled drinks and glass bottled ones too. They would be sold in packs preferably.

I plan on dealing on cocacola,Pepsi, fanta, and the likes. I have also considered adding varieties of malt drinks and alcoholic beverages.

For those that have done this business or are into it, is it possible to kick start it with a million naira?

What are the ups and downs of the business?

What is the profit margin of the business?

If it's just to buy from dealers and sell to consumers then you can start with any amount, excluding shop and logistics costs

Go to the plant and register your business for supply directly from the company as an SSD (Strategic Sales Depot).
Buy a truckload of the product and start selling in your area of coverage (this might be mapped out for you by the company depending on the location of your business.
The more you buy, from the company, and sell to the smaller dealers will determine the rebate you get from the company at the end of the month.
You will need a big shop or warehouse. A truck or bus for your supply. Boys to load and offload.
It is quite profitable, if you can put in the hours to run the business and you will also be given sales and promotional items to help you push the product.
