You're still stuck on those igbo "1st coup" titties? It's 2025 and you're still sucking them tities dry? 1st coup kee u dia.

Why are you not killing the Tivs for Gideon Orkas coup? Or the Hausa fulanis for toppling your war hero Gowon?

Did i tell you that i sent anyone to go and organise a coup for me? Bukah Sukah Dimka organised a coup and also killed a Head of State, do you even know his ethnic group?

Or you chose the coup that revolts you and the one that shouldn't, right?

The mistake was made in 1966 whether you people want to agree or not
Why do you think the political elites have consistently kicked against an igboman becoming president?
It's because they still remember the horrors of January 1966 and couldn't bring themselves to trust an igboman again
Why?
As at January 1966, an igboman was president, Aguyi ironsi was Army chief, igbos hold very important positions in government...... Yet military officers of mainly igbo origin carried out a putsch that killed most of the leaders of the other tribes sparing the igbo leaders

If you were not igbo , you would feel exactly the way others feel about igbos

Says the person from a region who don't sell land to strangers. Your region is the most hostile region. A place where there's an established philosophy that an Ebonyi man can't work in Anambra.

The same tribalistic Yoruba empolyed many Igbo into thier civil service and appointed Igbo as commissioner while electing people of other tribes into positions and embraced you into their midst after the devastating war.

What did they get in return, "Lagos iis no man's land" "Igbo develop Lagos"

You have overstepped your boundary and taken the liberality of the Yoruba for granted, henceforth you'll be treated as ungrateful as you are

How many Igbo presidential candidates have you voted for in your region? Should the igbos be voting for you, while you vote only for your sons? Since 1970 you have never found any igbo politicians worthy of your vote in a presidential election? Orji kalu, Ebitu Ukiwe, Nwodo, Chu Okongwo, Iwuanyanwu, Okorocha, Ogbonnaya Onu, Okadigbo, Ekwueme, Idika Kalu, Moghalu, Utomi, Ike Nwachukwu, Nzeribe, etc.

They have all contested and have lost in your zones, but you're there pointing fingers and demanding more votes from the SE. Are the igbos here just to vote for you? Will you kpai if you vote for them? Even if it's once? Some are technocrats, some are successful businesses men, Ekwueme and Okadigbo were top notch politicians from top notch parties. But you never looked their way. So what type of Igbo politicians would you support? Tinubu type?

How many contenders here ever flew the flag of the two topmost party?

If you can give me answer, I will agree with whatever you want to day henceforth.

You failed to remember PDP existed when Ojukwu contested under a lesser know party and no one voted him.

Same PDP is in existence when Obi contested under a lesser known party and they voted him.

If it was about voting for PDP then Obi won't get a vote. It's about the right candidate. I can tell you Obi would have struggled in the SE if APC picked Osibanjo. The votes would have been splitted massively.

Finally, check the candidates SE supported and they won, compare their performances with those they didn't support who later won. It will be clear they always know the right candidate.

Let me just drop this may be you will get how it is done in Nigeria

We have 6 regions in Nigeria, NE, NW, NC, SE, SW, SS.
But from this 6, we can re-align them into 4 partisan regions to conform with their political affiliation at any National election in Nigeria, the re-alignment produces;

1. NE/NW/NC, thence, I will say North for short.
2. SW
3. SS
4. SE

At any presidential election;

North generally and mostly support one candidate, they rarely have conflict of interests especially if their son is among the top contenders.
South West always have the most spread votes across leading parties, PDP and AD/AC/ACN/APC drag votes between themselves.
South South will almost give it to one party, they don't seem to have issue.
South East will give it to one party, so far the candidate is from that one party they all seem to support.

Let me now tell you what influence votes from each re-aligned region.

1. North: They believe they should always be in power, their votes go to a Northerners if he is in top party, if not, they will likely prefer SW candidate over any other region from the South.

2. SW: Margin of votes between PDP and AD/AC/ACN/APC will be somehow narrow, if their son is among the top flag bearers, the margin will be a bit wider but next strong party will still get a good figure.

3. SS: They are close to vote for PDP candidates anytime any day.

4. SE: PDP have been getting their votes since 1999 no matter the candidate.

What happened before and during 2023 general election where Obi pulled out from PDP because he felt some cabal in the party wouldn't give him green light really made SE had a rethink of position of PDP in their region.

Obi went to LP and they felt he needs to be listened to. Sir Bobby Chalton [Obi] knows how to sell himself to people and many would want in. There were two leading candidates in Atiku and Tinubu who Nigerians don't really think would take us to a promise land. Obi, as many will say, is the messiah (what Nigerians believed about Buhari in 2015 as well) to take us to the promise land, so the massive support he seems to get especially from young Nigerians who are social media electorates.

But, does Social media noise and perceived messiahness win election? No. What wins election? Work rate. What complements work rate? Being consistent and having longer years of calculation. Who had the better work rate and has been calculating more than 8 years even before he declared? Tinubu.

All this is not a rocket science, ascending the number one spot in the political field in Nigeria is not by noise and begging or telling people you deserve to be there too, you have to put in the work and be messy if needs be, that is how to win an election to number one position in Nigeria.

If you make it here, I want to say no hard feelings from here whatsoever. I am just a guy who knows a little about Nigeria from 1957 till date and I will always refuse not to say how things are when some people try to doctor what are general facts. Be good!

These are baseless assumptions and unfounded allegations.

Peter Obi wasn't the first Igbo man to leave the PDP because of the presidential ticket. Orji Uzo Kalu also left the PDP in 2007 when he couldn't secure the presidential ticket. The party chose Yar'Adua. Igbos didn't switch to the PPA to vote for Orji Uzo Kalu. He got only 3% of votes in the SE.

Simple and short.

2023 presented a balanced candidate among the 3 contending regions
Atiku from the North
Tinubu from the West
Obi from the East
Atiku got 60% from the North
Tinubu got 60% from the West
Obi got 98%from the East and Nwanne is saying Igbo don't vote tribe.

And for the record, Obi won Lagos, Atiku won Osun, how many vote did either Atiku or Tinubu win in SE.

You haven't presented any new data to show that there was any tribal correlation to the vote percentages. Igbos gave similar or even higher percentages to Obasanjo, Yar'Adua, GEJ etc.

I understand your point, but I respectfully disagree. While the voting patterns you provided do suggest that the South East region has consistently voted for candidates from other regions, it's oversimplifying to say that tribe played no significant role in the 2023 presidential election.

The complexity of Nigerian politics and the myriad factors influencing voting decisions cannot be reduced to a single factor. Tribal considerations have historically played a significant role in shaping Nigerian politics, particularly in regional voting patterns [1).

For instance, the 28% vote share for Ojukwu in 2003, despite being an Igbo candidate, may indicate that factors beyond tribe influenced voting decisions. Similarly, Buhari's increased percentage in the South East despite having Igbo running mates in 2003 and 2007 suggests that other factors, such as performance, policies, or national issues, also swayed voters.

Moreover, the significant difference in vote share between Peter Obi (91%) and previous Igbo presidential candidates (Orji Uzo Kalu, Pat Utomi, and Kingsley Moghalu) hints at a unique factor in the 2023 election, potentially beyond tribal considerations.

Let's acknowledge that Nigerian politics is multifaceted, and both tribal and national issues intersect to shape voting patterns. We should strive for nuanced discussions, recognizing the complexity of these dynamics.

You see, the problem here is that there was an unfounded lie that Igbos voted based on tribe, just because Peter Obi got 90+ percent of the votes in the SE.

If this were a court of law, I won't even be required to prove anything, the purveyors of the unfounded allegation have not shown any proof of a tribal correlation to the vote percentages, other than PO got that many percentage points. The case will be thrown out because it has no basis.

But here we are in a court of public opinion. While the purveyors of the lie have not shown any data to backup their claims, it's still necessary to set the record straight for reference purposes, and for the benefit of others yet to see the lies.

Even Osun State one of the most Educated States in Nigeria would choose death 700x than to vote for the African GOAT FAILURE tinubu, in fact they would rather power stays upNorth forever than vote for the African GOAT FAILURE tinubu,is it this person that You want the SE with a reputation of always voting right to vote? You are not serious na places like Zamfara,Borno tinubu go fit see vote.

Jona.Yaraudua got way more vote than Obi in SE for your info.
just keep quiet with your madness

U people are shameless

When we point your tribalism to u ,then u deflect

Based on past record of performance a sane person will vote tinubu before obi Mumu n atiku

Is it the same obi that u people cursed when he was governor of Anambra state?
Even mrvitalis n co warned us never to allow obi near power then but today he's an hardcore obi Mumu just because he wants Igbo president badly

There are threads as far back as 2012, stating how useless obi was even when no one was talking national politics, obi performed woefully as governor n u Igbos cursed him to high heaven but suddenly when u needed Igbo president badly then he became Messiah

Check d following threads as far back as 2017 and 2012 n tell me why a sane person will want obi

I can bet that even u cursed obi as governor but today he suddenly turned messiah

Did i tell you that i sent anyone to go and organise a coup for me? Bukah Sukah Dimka organised a coup and also killed a Head of State, do you even know his ethnic group?

Or you chose the coup that revolts you and the one that shouldn't, right?

These are baseless assumptions and unfounded allegations.

Peter Obi wasn't the first Igbo man to leave the PDP because of the presidential ticket. Orji Uzo Kalu also left the PDP in 2007 when he couldn't secure the presidential ticket. The party chose Yar'Adua. Igbos didn't switch to the PPA to vote for Orji Uzo Kalu. He got only 3% of votes in the SE.

Focus on the topic. You're derailing.
name one party aside PDP that Igbos voted from 99 to 2024 in presidential election?

Until 2023 when you realized the foolishness of knowing how to chose people from other tribes over yours

I don't hold grudge against igbos for queueing behind Obi, that was what the other major tribes did too, my grouse with you people was the blackmail, threats and insults and the tendency to cancel anyone not for peter Obi.... That was where you made more enemies for him than friends......

Have you not noticed that the Igbos are not in the Business of caressing egos. Igbos are not pretentious about their feelings. If they are for you, you can close your eyes and take that to the bank. That is the defemination of integrity.

The Igbos can afford to do that because they don't care, they can always survive, and there is nothing you can threaten them with, because they have seen it all and still standing. When you see an Igbo man, give him some respect, you are not mates.

And you have to ask for respect?
You don't ask people to respect you , people naturally respects whoever deserves it

And which tribe can't stand alone and survive?

Every tribe has what sustains them, so also do they have poor folks among them, including igbos. I lived among igbos very well so I know them well....... Most igbos wealth is not clean. You may say circumstances made them so I wont argue, but don't come and be flexing ill gotten wealth and expect people to respect you.

You people overrated yourselves abegii

Small mind cannot reason beyond his narrow perception.

You voted Obi an Igbo man 99% and Yoruba voted Tinubu 60% but to a trader mind, the Yoruba vote thier people while Igbo vote Nigeria.

Gaslighting won't work in 2024, go and read your history and you'll be shocked to see the atrocity of your people, always throwing the first punch but when the sucker punch is returned you start wailing.

The rottenness of Nigeria is caused by all political elites from all region, but in your trader's mind turned everything to tribe and religion.

Preach your astuteness to your people, I will start taking you seriously the day your people stop trooping to the SW in droves in search for greeners pasture and stayed in the eldirado that you have built in your choice of electing the leaders.

Your message reeks of ignorance and ethnic bigotry, so let’s set the record straight.

Your claim that Igbos voted for Obi out of tribal loyalty while Yorubas were somehow “nationalistic” is nonsense. 99% of Igbos voted for competence, integrity, and a better future in Peter Obi, while 60% of Yorubas blindly backed Tinubu, a man whose fitness for office is highly questionable. If we’re being honest, it was the Igbo vote that reflected true national interest, voting for a candidate who could actually fix the country, unlike the tribal-driven choice made by many Yorubas. So spare me this gaslighting—you’ve twisted reality to fit your narrow, tribal narrative.

Don’t even try to lump the blame for Nigeria’s collapse on “all political elites.” We both know who hijacked power in this country and deliberately sidelined the Igbos. Nigeria rotted when certain regions seized control and excluded the very people who once held key sectors and drove progress. Compare Nigeria when Igbos held the economy, aviation, education, NAFDAC, and even defense—there was competence and real development. Since then, it’s been one long downward spiral. You want to talk about who’s really responsible for Nigeria’s failure? Look at those who’ve hoarded power, not the ones who were pushed out.

Your derogatory remarks about Igbo traders show just how small-minded your thinking is. These "small traders" you're trying to insult are closing multimillion-dollar deals globally while you and others who hold onto your superiority complex are stuck in dead-end jobs, feeling good about yourselves. The Igbos have proven that even without fancy degrees or prestigious jobs, they can dominate the global marketplace. Meanwhile, the people who look down on them are busy toiling for scraps. If that’s what you call success, enjoy it.

You’re mistaken if you think Igbos move to other regions because they can’t build at home. Igbos go where the business opportunities are, just like the Chinese do globally. It’s called vision and entrepreneurship, not desperation. If anything, it’s the rest of the country that should be asking itself why Igbos keep outperforming in their own regions. They don’t settle for mediocrity like some others do—they go where they can thrive and create wealth. Maybe try learning from them instead of spewing this ignorant nonsense.

Your entire argument is built on tribalism and an inflated sense of self-worth. If you can’t rise above this kind of thinking, don’t expect to be taken seriously. The world is moving forward, and your ethnic bigotry is keeping you stuck in the past.
