OgunEduCASH: Alleged non-payment of artisans’ dues taints Gov. Abiodun’s education support program

Concerns are mounting over the non-payment of artisan fees six months after they completed their contracts under Ogun State Government‘s education support program.

Launched six months ago by Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, the ‘OgunEduCASH’ initiative aims to provide educational assistance to students at all levels within state-owned institutions.

To promote access to basic education, Governor Abiodun has initiated the distribution of education grants, offering N50,000 to students in tertiary institutions and N10,000 to economically disadvantaged children in public primary and secondary schools.

According to sources, the state government has distributed thousands of free exercise books, a program hailed as a valuable opportunity for students.

newsheadline247 gathered that despite the widespread praise for the ‘OgunEduCASH’ initiative from various stakeholders and citizens of the state, allegations of political interference and mismanagement have cast a shadow over the program.
