when it is selection, not election. Allow INEC or National Electoral Indepent bidy to conduct Local Government election and you will see massive turnout. That is total autonomy forLG 10 Likes |

I participated in the election. Polling units close to the council areas are the ones that voting took place. Other polling units, had the votes cast by proxy. It's Produced and directed by APGA. It's manual voting after all. No other political parties are interested, except few YPP guys. Until Federal INEC starts conducting Council Elections like they do with Governors /NASS and presidential. It will remain a shamble. 6 Likes |

This is the strategy most of the governors are adopting in conducting the local government elections. There won't be any sensitization on the upcoming elections; they will delay the arrival of INEC materials in connivance with scrupulous officials; elections will be held with fewer or no voter and boom!, results would be announced and all the annointed candidates by the governor are sworn in. Those praising president Tinubu for signing local government autonomy into law do not understand Nigeria. The governors can go at any length to maintain total control of local government funds, its allocation and expenditures. Do you think that the governor of Kano state would allow the 44 local governments chairmen to control the huge allocations that comes into the local governments account from the federation account? He would do everything to maintain control and dish out patronage as he wishes. The control of the local government gives the governors unfettered powers to control the grassroots and maintain political power. As they say, "politics is local." How do you expect the governors to relinquish control of that local structure of the politics? In Nigeria, money is everything and who controls the money, controls the people and influences decisions, actions and outcomes. 3 Likes |

Really? Is that not Obi and Psquare, Cubana, Flavor etc state? Where are their voices? Were they in Anambra at all? Their brothers packed themselves from Prisons all over the World to come and vote in Lagos but you will never see them in their land voting. Insecurity is driving them from their land, now they are blaming INEC. They don't normally vote in that state. Less than 10% voted in the Election that brought Soludo in. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/493702-anambradecides2021-anambra-has-a-history-of-low-voter-turnout.html?tztc=1 1 Like |

louken:It is insecurity driving them away from there. Less than 10% voted in the Election that brought Soludo in. They are only concerned about other people's Election. Go and show us any Celebrity outside SE that went home to vote. It is a normal thing in Anambra. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/493702-anambradecides2021-anambra-has-a-history-of-low-voter-turnout.html?tztc=1 1 Like |

Funkyswagzz:It is INEC that made Soludo to go host his daughter's wedding in Abuja? How many of them still go home? Were they online talking about the Election like they did in Lagos and Edo? Later, they will start to cry and turn to keyboard warriors when APC takes over. 2 Likes 1 Share |

dododawa1:Of INEC? That's why Soludo could not even hold his daughter's wedding in Anambra? That's why Flavour could not bury his father there too? How many people voted in the Soludo Election? Less than 10%. Just say people are tired of Insecurity that they can't even go home again. 3 Likes 1 Share |

There was literally no election in the state yesterday. Absence of either electoral officials or results sheets in many quarters marred the entire process. Yet, APGA won 21/21... What a life 😢 |
