Hard truth for those who think deep

Most Christians think islam amd other religion is a threat and an enemy.

Real Truth. Islam has never been a threat to Christianity

Christianity has always been a threat to Christianity

So how does the image of Christ on his surfboard affect others?

If you are organising an event and a participant comes along with a tortoise tied with a red scarf, I bet your opinion will be different. I bet he would be reprimanded for coming in with his juju..in an event of people from many religious places..which may be displeasing.

And that's just assuming you are a Christian. Now imagine if you weren't a Christian yet don't want religious affiliations present at the event center.

It is vital to understand that christianity is a personal business, as well as other religions. Pray to your God at home. Those relics or graven images or pictures or stickers can be kept at home or on your phone.

Olympics Most Iconic Photo: What I Discovered About Viral Christian Post

I first saw a viral Christian post on social media about a Brazilian surfer in the Olympics told to remove Jesus from his surfboard or risk disqualification, but he decided to walk away instead.

It was so inspiring to see how yet another Christian defiantly chose to take an unwavering stand for their faith in Christ considering how the tournament held in France had proven to be blatantly fashioned to make a mockery of Christ and Christianity especially via its opening ceremony.

God bless.
I hope you would not run and open a thread where a Muslim has a t shirt with 'Allahu Akbar' on it doing Olympics
You dont bring religion into everything. It causes chaos
That is why I said sone of you christians are brainless

Then several days later i saw another Christian post that said, the same Brazilian surfer that was told to remove the image of Jesus from his surf board or risk disqualification, had gotten a near perfect score of 9.90 on day 3 of the surfing competition which was the highest score in Olympic history.

Attached to the post was the iconic photo of the record-breaking moment, which appeared to show the surfer and his board defying gravity and floating parallel to each other on air, with the surfer pointing his finger up to the sky to suggest his attribution of the remarkable feat to God, which was corroborated by his caption of the photo on his Instagram page, which happens to be a popular verse of the Bible, "I can do all things through he (Christ) that strengthens me" Philippians 4:13.

God bless.
Why are you christians quick to lie to promote your religion. Your first post said he walked away from the Olympics. Second post said he was participating and had the highest score

I'm wondering why they have a problem with the image of christ, if it were a cartoon character or random image or picture they wont talk, the same thing happened to one actress that had a picture of christ on her dress , the image is harmless so what's their problem
Have you seen a muslim use any Arabic quote depicting Islam in sports? You people should keeps your madness to yourselves. This is sports ffs. Keep your religion to yourself. If they allow any religious depictions, the Olympics would be thrown into chaos

You are just talking oga. Walk to any Church on Sunday or any Mosque whenever they make their prayer calls and tell them to stop disturbing you. So because you want want to see the image of Christ anywhere, I shouldn't design my personal material how I want it?

Pls get sense. The thread is about the Olympics and a participant not a religious event

The same Olympics that had the temerity to denigrate the Lord's Supper with an LGBTQ+++++ performance mocking the christian religion and openly displaying a man's diick in the presence of a little child in their Opening Ceremony is who you want to preach to me about shoving religion at people's face, they do not have a problem insulting Christianity but have a problem with the image of Jesus on a surfboard, same France Olympics that is known to be the worst Olympics of all time, pls shift

The Bible already said that many people will deny God just to be politically correct so I'm not surprised you are one of them.

The said post received thousands of engagements (likes, shares, comments), since it appeared to vindicate the surfer's unwavering faith in Jesus, however something was not quite adding up for me despite being a huge supporter and promoter of such remarkable feats achieved by Christians to defy all odds stacked up against them by the world against their faith in Jesus.

It was probably the fact that the other post said the Brazilian surfer who was told to remove the image of Jesus walked away from the competition as a result, which contradicted the idea that he still later competed, even if he broke the Olympic record in the process and later attributed the feat to Christ.

That led to digging deeper to seek the name and identity of the surfer that was told to remove the image of Jesus from his surfboard to confirm that indeed it was the same surfer that also broke the surfing record.

It was after doing so that i discovered that although they were both Brazilian surfers and both gold medal hopefuls for their nation, they were different persons but only national teammates.

While the surfer asked to remove Jesus from board is Joao Chianca, the one who broke the Olympic record is Gabriel Medina.

So it was only after I had gotten that fact right about the story that I shared it here:

https://www.nairaland.com/8188552/olympics-most-iconic-photo-christian

So that effort to verify the story regardless helped me not to join in the spread of the false information, that it was the same Brazilian surfer who was told to remove the image of Jesus from his board, that was behind the record breaking feat and also the most iconic photo of the Olympics, even though that would have been more appealing.

It's only the truth that can make people free, never lies.

God bless

Why go through the stress of trying to find out whether the story is true or false I you doubting Thomas?
