I tire for all this illiterates writing up and down this thread ...who confer no positions to the President down to the deputy speaker? greetings protocols does not imply that one is bigger than the other..by the way in the event of demise of both president and the vice ,who takes over has acting president between the speaker and the Senate president?by the way both chambers..one is not superior to the other ,I think thats the point of the reps..and people should stop calling them lower house..the house of Commons in the UK was called lower house because their chambers was in the lower section of west minister while house of lords chambers was in the higher section.

Thank you, in fact Lower chamber or upper Chamber . Green or red chamber is not written in the constitution. Alot of Nigerians don't know the difference between what is written in the constitution and personal assumption

Whenever anyone becomes the president of Nigeria or head of state, he automatically becomes GCFR, while the vice gets a GCON.

Heads of the other 2 arms of government, National assembly and judiciary, gets a GCON if the president wishes.

The senate president is the chairman and head of the national assembly, not the speaker, while the CJN is the head of the judiciary

Some past presidents refused to confer GCON on some past chairmen of the national assembly, like Wabara and Saraki, because they felt they didn't support them.

The speaker knows this fact and can't say otherwise because GCON has never been conferred on any speaker before.

Aside, the VP, SP and CJN with GCON, Goodluck Jonathan also conferred GCON on Aliko Dangote to motivate him to fast track his refinery then.
