Barely a couple years ago, Reno Omokri was the darling of the presently disgruntled.

Please don’t mind Reno, his visit to Chitown State University to peruse Dr Tinubu’s academic records, has made him a believer.

Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan has criticized Reno Omokri following a recent post in which Omokri shared a photo of himself shaking hands with President Tinubu at the presidential villa, stating that he spent Independence Day with the president. In response, VeryDarkMan played a video of Omokri protesting against Tinubu during his visit to the UK (Chatham House) during the 2023 presidential campaign.

VeryDarkMan then read one of Omokri's past posts about Tinubu and asked, "Reno Omokri, what are you doing with someone you once called a drug lord? Do you want to learn how to sell drugs? I'm just curious, o; it's none of my business! You can clearly see that you lack integrity.

By the way, I won’t pretend I didn't know that you begged a lot of people to help you meet Tinubu. I saw many people you pleaded with to arrange a meeting.
In 2023, you were campaigning for Atiku. I know politics is a dirty game, but at least have some integrity."

As a UK-trained lawyer, Reno Omokri (whose father is an Urhobo and mother is from the Itsekiri royal family) will definitely reply the points RAISED by the young man in the video. After due investigations, Reno Omokri knew full well that all the defamatory allegations he made as a PDP member against Tinubu are FALSE and CLEARLY part of the desperate political strategy of mudslinging the opponent to gain leverage and diminish them in the eyes of the public.

Nobody respects you if you are too nice. In any event, the person I will forever BLAME for the relentless defamation of his character is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu himself who has in a highly counter productive manner ignored these highly irresponsible young online and offline defamers over the false allegations of him being a "drug baron" when it's well known that as of 1993 the United States court found the then Senator Bola Tinubu innocent of any links to drugs and even returned 1.4 million USD back to Bola Tinubu's U.S. bank accounts. The 400,000 USD that Bola Tinubu forfeited was for a backlog of unpaid taxes due to the fact that as a U.S. permanent resident, he left his consulting job and returned to Nigeria back in the very early 1980s from the United States to take up a job with the multinational oil and gas company Mobil Nigeria (now ExxonMobil Nigeria) where he rose to the very senior position of a Treasurer which is also the same position that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu rose to in the banking sector. A Treasurer in any establishment is NOT a small job description as it is reserved for highly brilliant people.

It must be emphasized here and NOW that the United States does NOT forgive drug barons or do plea bargains with them. They are usually thrown right into jail for a long time and their properties and money from the proceeds of drug crimes are usually seized! President Bola Tinubu does NOT fall into this category and there was NEVER any plea bargaining that Tinubu had with the United States.

So, on multiple occasions, the U.S. Embassy through the 2002 press release legal department and the United States government have consistently clarified that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has NO criminal case in the United States but some simpletons and ethnic bigots have relentlessly pushed this FAKE news on a daily basis even right here on Nairaland. The day when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu finally roars or takes action against these online criminal defamers, a lot of youngsters will be picked up in their hundreds because they have left a digital trail of evidence online of their deliberate hate speech and criminal defamation of character.
