A recent video surfaced, showing Nigerian girls detained in a Mali prison, crying out for assistance. They claim to have been deceived by human traffickers, promising better lives abroad. Instead, they face exploitation, abuse, and imprisonment.
Here's a response by the CEO of Nigeria in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Dr. Abike Erewa OON. Addressing the need to combat illegal immigrant. This disturbing scene echoes the traumatic experiences of Nigerian girls rescued from human trafficking and exploitation in recent years.

Just months ago, the Federal Government successfully evacuated stranded Nigerian girls from various countries, including Mali ,Libia and UAE. However, it appears that more girls have fallen prey to traffickers, finding themselves in similar precarious situations.

I still don't believe that most of these girls who claim they were deceived by their trafficker that they wanted to traffic them for better life abroad. They knew it is either prostitution or other illegal stuffs.

And if their plans succeed, they'll now oppress the vulnerable young ones and lure them into the act again. The cycle continues
