Fayose impeachment was void by a federal high court in ado ekiti few days to his sworn in ceremony.

In Nigeria, under our laws, while a member of a Political party can voluntarily resign from a Political party with or without any division or crisis in the Political party and without communicating any Parliament or any other person or institution for that matter and may suffer no adverse consequences, a member of a Political party who is a legislator can only retain his seat upon defection after due resignation from his Political party if there is a division at the National Level or Structures of the Political party.

Did they formally resign

All these impeachment were later at a stage voided by federal high court except the case of Dariye and alamieyesigha who I think wasn't lucky to get node of the court

In my own view, if supreme Court wanna do justice to the rivers issue. A new election should be conducted to fill the position of the defected lawmakers and gov. Fubara should also be ordered to re-present his budget before a new fully constituted assembly because that 5 members or so do not form a quorum to do valid legislative Business.

The Supreme Court may uphold the decision of the Appeal Court due to a few technical errors in this case. If that's the case, Fubara will NEVER escape the final chess move from those guys.

Then the real case of their status as Lawmakers go continue and pending that determination any talk about 2025 to them will be mere academic. Meanwhile Damagun would have been removed and PDP will pursue the case of their defection properly

There is nothing like miscarriage of justice. Stop be emotional like your people. Many political office holders has cross carpet and nothing happens. If it was easy, Jonathan and Wike would have used it against Ameachi, when he decamped to Apc as a sitting governor who was nominated on pdp platform. Those of you who always urge Fubara to fight Wike, will soon know, what some of us see that you people didn't see. Only a foolish governor go to political war without controlling the state assembly. After the supreme Court affirm the 27 members then Fubara will dance to their tone or get impeached. You can't have four members house of assembly against that numbers of Wike faction and Fubara should also know that Wike has closeness to judges cos the Odillis made that possible for him as governor. Am not surprised about you people cos you only played emotional, bitter and hatred politics you people keep doing. Fubara was so stupid, even if Wike who everybody knew right from time to be authoritative and power drunk but you people celebrated him, he shouldnt have fight him now but wait a bit and try an hold your ground.. Professor Osunbor lost is election tribunal cases when he declared war with Anenih shortly as governor. What happens at the end. Oshiomole was able to tamed Anenih because he was a smart governor. Pdp were in control of Edo state assembly then but there were tribunal cases against most of them by Acn. Oshiomole make sure he used his office to get judgement to his favour and haven't control the assembly, he took fight against Anenih and he was also performing alongside the political and fight. Most Edo were interested and took side with Oshiomole and the fight was won. Everything is not nzogbu nzogbu. Fubara will be embarrassed as governor in the coming days and months.
