Matip, who joined Liverpool on a free transfer from Schalke 04 in 2016, became a key player under Jurgen Klopp, playing a crucial role in the club’s return to the Champions League and their 2019 Champions League triumph. Over his Liverpool career, he made more than 200 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists.
