Hi guys, How are you all doing? Please do I actually need the TB certificate at point of entry? The one I used to get the visa expired in January. I called IOM now and they told me the test is a whooping 26,250 naira. Is it necessary? Please what's the worse that can happen. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by justwise(m): 9:20am On Mar 10, 2016 |
KemBee86: Don't bother, you done one already. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by blza: 9:40am On Mar 10, 2016 |
KemBee86: Justwise isn't far from the truth if common sense is applied. But I will advise you to go get another test done and have a valid result on you. This is to avoid any silliness at passport control. Just read response from IOM to this same question advising to travel with a valid one. It's up to you. But for 26k, doesn't match up the stress if it happens |

Congratulations to everyone who has been granted their spouse visa. Those of us waiting we celebrate with you all and pray we also share the good news very soon. Appeals take ages and sometimes is better to reapply. We got refused in October and did appeal same month. The court wrote to us in December and gave us 15 weeks which ends coming Tuesday. Am praying we hear good news in Jesus name cus the waiting is killing. Still no refund of NHIS. 1 Like |

KemBee86: Hi KemBee86, Congratulations on your visa, same goes for blza and thatula. On the TB certification matter. Mine had expired for over a month before I travelled. Did they ask for it? Yes but I said I didn't have it in my hand luggage which was true and he said no problem and let me go, I was travelling with hubby though but I haven't heard anyone turned back for lack of valid TB certificate. You can research more on it though but I believe you'd be fine. |

Pls guys , I have submitted my husbands visa app. I wanted to know if they always request for an interview with the sponsor. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by blza: 7:33am On Mar 11, 2016 |
nky2015: You can be called for an interview if the ECO have reason to or requires clarification. It doesn't happen as a standard procedure . I wasn't called and we applied last month. Just prepare yourself incase as they sometimes do telephone interview. The good thing is that if it happens , you will be asked things you should know (about you , the applicant, your families and your relationship) 2 Likes |

Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Saratkum(f): 5:24pm On Mar 12, 2016 |
KemBee86: Just the TB cert if u have it or ask ur husband to bring along when he picks u up at the airport. But nothing else no need for antimalaria that u will need when u go back to Lagos to visit in the future. Perhaps any docs u think u might need here like ur marriage cert. Have a safe journey x |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Portsmouth86(f): 4:20am On Mar 14, 2016 |
KemBee86: no booklets however I as the sponsor received all the supporting documents I sent, and I was also set my husbands birth certificate and his employment letter he provided, however I did not receive his original TB certificate of the English certificate, this was of course sent back to my husband with his passport and decision letter, which gave me a suspicion he got the visa because he would need those to enter the UK |

Batba1: Is the house owned? or council? *Letter from mother to state happy for you to live there and specify size of property & how many people live in the property *I would include a photo of each room if its a council property then a letter from the landlords to confirm you can reside at the property. your wife will not need to show house bills, her bank statements will show this address. |

Hii Nairaland-ers! Just a quick question, the 12weeks processing time does that start from biometric day or the day documents are delivered to Sheffield? We have over a week gap between the two... Jan 12th bio then Jan 21st the docs were delivered to them.. Cheers x |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by makB: 7:34pm On Mar 14, 2016 |
Hi @saratkum from most people's timelines, I observed that the 12 weeks started from the date of the biometrics. I applied a few weeks after you. Fingers crossed we are all successful. 3 Likes |

Hello, please i need to some information. i don't understand how i can get my call logs printed because i called MTN office yesterday and i was told that i can only print out on my phone which i don't understand and also how can i print my whatsapp chat too? i was trying it but just don't get it. Also about the application payment with my ATM card, how possible? because i was thinking hope CBN limit will not be a problem. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by blza: 2:57am On Mar 15, 2016 |
obabola123: Email yourself the relevant person's chat history. You will recieve a text file but can copy all contents onto a different program like word so more can be fitted on a page and print. See steps below. Open the WhatsApp conversation you want to email. Tap the contact's name or group subject in the navigation bar. Scroll to the bottom and tap Export Chat. Select if you want to Attach Media or email the conversation Without Media. Enter your email address and tap Send. As per payments , you can't pay with your Nigeria card due to the caps on card spending. Your sponsor can make these payments , that's what myself and many others have done. As per call history, I will advise you get the sponsor to provide print out your call history from the U.K. you do direct calls , he/can request itemised bills from the service provider. I printed my Rebtel call logs in support of our application Hope this helps |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Brightingsus: 3:18am On Mar 15, 2016 |
Hello Obabola, Easy to do! As for the MTN call log, you may find out that they can only give you 3 months call log. Go to any major MTN outlet, it is not something you can discuss over on the phone. You would be requested to provide a police report and some affidavit of some sort. This you can easily get. Then you would go back to them and apply for a call log. Then they will email you the call log in an Excel spreadsheet for you to print by yourself. But please make sure that your Line is registered correctly before this. The call Log is a simple spreadsheet with Outgoing calls, Incoming Calls, Call date and time and duration, etc. Also speak to the person that attends to you nicely requesting a backing letter. My wife whom I sponsored had to do what am asking you to do. The MTN staff printed this letter on their letter headed paper. The letter included her name, stating that the call log was hers. I will snap and show you a copy of this letter. Attach this letter with the call log. Don't forget that the call log would contain all calls, not just your convo with spouse. You can then use pen to asterisk the logs between you and spouse, once printed. About the whatsapp chat history, go to your chat with your spouse and open the chat options between you and them. I don't know what phone you use, but for iPhone, click on your spouse's name at the top; then scroll down and click on 'Export chat', then on 'Attach media'. The exporting starts. Then select email as to where you are exporting. Include your own email address and send the file. If there are chat lines you want to remove so the Entry Clearance Officer does not see, you can edit. But. make sure the communication is coherent and flows. You can then print. I don't know how you saved your spouse's name on your phone; how it appears. You may want to change this back to her real name before exporting, so when exported her real name will show. However if it's a pet name and you don't want it changed, mention in your spouse letter that you call your spouse that name. Also let the ECO know the periods for which the whatsapp chat covers. For me, I covered about 6 months and kept editing until I shrunk the pages to about 30. Otherwise it could be quite voluminous. Moreover I still included my own call log from the UK as the sponsor. About the payment, am not sure as I paid with my UK card. Someone else can answer that bit. Note that I blocked off my wife's name and contact no for security reasons. Hehehehe 1 Like

Hello All, My Wife got her spouse VISA. Yaaaaay! She kept asking me to check my account to see if the IHS was refunded but I refused. I applied with priority and it took just 3 days for her VISA to be stamped. However while doing this, ensure you have a well documented application pack. None of us was called for interview. My timeline is as follows: VISA APPLICATION TIMELINE 15/02/2016 ~ Online application on www.gov.uk 19/02/2016 ~ Appointment at TLScontact Ikeja for Biometrics.
