As this is a settlement visa, you need to write the Sheffield office. All settlement visa applications from Nigeria are handled in Sheffield UK. Their e-mail is VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

the subject should be in this format: Appeal decision allowed RE: [Appeal number]

The body should explain why you are writing e.g.,

Dear Sir/Madam,

As you know, the above appeal was heard by Stoke IAC on [date] and subsequently allowed on [date]. it has been [nn days] since the decision and I have not heard from you with regards to issuing the visa. I have urgent needs to join my family in the UK and would appreciate a speedy process from your end.

I await your response

Hi john do you have the phone number of the Sheffield office, I think I will start calling them, my application meets all the new criteria (post July 2012) so I am wondering what is taking them so long.

320 (7A) is the code to show deception in your visa application. You've been banned.

No.

But sometimes if you reach out to the Foreign Secretary (William Hague) and beg him with all your heart and apologise for forging your bank statements and promise never to do it again, he'll take pity and reconsider. He then tells his people below him to reassess your application.

You do this by recording a video of yourself and uploading it to YouTube. But remember - you need to be very contrite in your video and really explain why you forged your bank statements in the first place, resulting in your ban.

I'm sure if you do this, and the post the link here, then one of our experts like Justwise will tell you if you stand a chance.

The UKBA have given themselves a guide of responding to 95% of settlement applications within 12 weeks and 100% within 24 weeks. I know its a pain having to wait but you've done all you can do at this stage. All being well, you could hear from them within 2 weeks. P60 is not mandatory, as long as you submitted all the payslips along with a letter from the employer that's fine. Just continue to trust that God has it all in control, expect good news soon.

I wonder why the number of the Visa section keeps entering Voice Prompt. Has one in the house been able to get through?

I eventually got through to the visa section when I called today. According to them, they are yet to get their own copy of the determination and the person i spoke to advised I email my own copy so they can chase from their own end.

@justwise @johnwray what do you think?

I told you before in my last mail to you that if the Embassy didn't receive their own copy they will not ring you to submit your passport. stop worrying. your case is settled already. I know you're very anxious to join your family. Even if you send them your copy they will still wait to receive their own copy before asking you to submit your passport for visa. Please be calm. I'm afraid this is the bitter truth. send them the copy and pray fervently for God to perfect it for you in his own time. take care. Cheers.

11 weeks in 2 days and it still saying "Your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission" the wait is not easy at all.
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by roborobokop: 2:39pm On Jun 20, 2013
I have followed this forum for a while and really appreciate the helpful nature of people here. Perhaps someone can answer this question for me?

I applied for a UK settlement visa in March 2012 but my application was refused. My wife, a UK citizen, and I appealed the decision of the ECO. The case was heard April this year and the judge allowed our appeal, meaning we won the case. We received the determination early May.

The BHC Abuja called me to submit my passport about 2 and half weeks ago.

I couldn't submit my passport immediately though because it was erroneously washed up while inside the pocket of one of my clothings inside a washing machine thereby sustaining considerable damage in the process. As a result of this damage, I went and had another one re-issued. I sent the embassy an email that I may have to apply for another passport due to damage and they replied that they had taken note of that.

I have just submitted my new passport to the BHC through the Visa Application Centre Abuja yesterday. My questions are:

1. Will there be a problem because of my new passport which is not the one used for the initial application?
2. How long will I have to wait for the visa to be issued?
3 Are there other avenues for worries about the issuance of this visa? In other words, can the BHC spring something on us straight out of the blue? These folks can be unpredictable sometimes going by the experiences of people on this forum.

Thanks for the anticipated reply.
