@ jenni1108 - That's what my MP said too. Apparently they have a special correspondence desk at Home Office that considers MPs' requests only. Mine has already written to HO and I'm keeping fingers glued right now and praying too. My MP didn't ask too many questions... didn't even bother to check the documents I went with. He said I should make sure I send all support documents to UKBA and he will be writing HO to insist it shouldn't take anything near 19 weeks to review my wife's application based on the additional support documents. I'm going to Nigeria come end of August too. My third trip already this year! An expense and most importantly, flight fright that I can really do without! |

jenni1108: I have an appointment with my MP’s office on Tuesday who have suggested on the phone they can possibly help me. So I will get my paper work together this weekend, my main points will be my health (don’t want to disclose a lot here) and the financially strain this is putting on us. Might be an idea if you can get a document from your doctor stipulating the impact this process is having on your health. Hope this all works out for you. |

Just wanted to encourage everyone with a scripture that blessed me this morning. Mark 11:22, "Have Faith in God..." He has heard your prayers , just trust that God has it all in hand. You will receive the revelation of your prayers sooner than you think. Start of a great week people, hold on to the promise. 1 Like |

Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by girlfio: 6:11pm On Aug 05, 2013 |
@ mato-justo, thanks so much for your encouragement, God has been so good and He will continue to be so for us all. @ damyoyepitan, Im not sure that having an endorsement from the local MP will make much of an impact on the success of an application. What's important is that you meet the requirements for finance, accommodation and relationship and that you provide the evidence that proves your status beyond any reasonable doubt. There can't be any harm in including a letter from your husband's local MP but I wouldn't expect that it would affect the speed or outcome of your visa application. |

Unfortunately its so difficult to judge the outcome of a visa based on the time it takes to process. Our application was refused after 1 month but others its after two or three. You never know, maybe your application was so easy and straightforward so its been approved easily. Its good to hear that you'll have your answer next week. I pray that it will be good news, keep us posted. |

Please I need urgent advice about this – so after speaking to my MP’s office last week who advised that reapplying would be the best option, I have decided that we will not reapply, due to a serious illness in Husband’s family and some other issues we just don’t have the money spare to hire a lawyer and reapply. My question is this – I will wait for the appeal, but now that I have been given a date 26/11/13 for the Home Office to respond – what happens after this date? and do I really need to employ the services of a lawyer as a representative (I have put my name down but was advised that as I am not legally trained I should use a professional lawyer) The reasons for refusal were very weak, and my appeals bundle addressed all their points. Do the UKBA fight very hard to uphold their refusal decision. |

@jenni1108,i dont think their is any cause for Alarm or fear if u are have been able to tackle the point hold against u by the Eco beyound reasonable dought, they treat an Appeal base on merit and hw best u have been able to confuse them in ur points.and secondly if u are able to meet all what the Eco stated out.dont panic the Lord will finish what he has stated, and u shall be granted visa.all what we all need is the time and patience. |
