Blitzking: 1. early April 2013, the price per bitcoin dropped from $266 to around $50 and then rose to around $100. Over two weeks starting late June 2013 the price dropped steadily to $70. The price began to recover, peaking once again on 1 October at $140. 2. Bitcoin (BTC) price again reached an all-time high in 2024, as values exceeded over 73,000 USD in March 2024. Tell me if it's not a better investment over time now if he was able to keep his 3 BTC, he will have over $200,000 USD in crypto asset by now. Consider the post and these BTC value now. My point is not that crypto is not risky, government and company share are risky too. Devaluation of currency, inflation, country debt profile. Company collapse etc can turn your shares to dust. Institutional share is even more of a gamble as you are not a custodial of your investment, in crypto, if the value are falling drastically, you can withdraw asset or convert to a stable token. Everything is about our pool of knowledge. As for me, I prefer crypto to company and govt shares anytime anyday. |

Good day, These could not be far from the real thing. Your father has invested in a small share, whereas some investors are having 100k unit, 1mil unit etc. How it work dividend is nothing when it comes to shareholding but buying & selling of it. If you want to sell this 1050 unit now, you may sell it at #10k depending on the worth of Transcop share then. Meanwhile, Transcop share as at today is about #11.05 per share. |

I finally gave up on buying shares, when i saw an alart of the first bank I bought almost 20years ago.. Alert of 1k, N500, is that supposed to be money? Anything that won't be physical investment that would yield return almost immediately, I'm not putting my money again 1 Like |

You're right sha. But how many people have that "free money" to invest in shares. I prefer landed properties, that one can yield profit even after one year, depending on the location. CoronaVirusPro: |

clarion30: You can never go wrong with land banking if you buy GENUINE ones. Cos it comes with problems too. It’s either omo-onile, Baale, Oba, state or federal government. The moment that value skyrockets, attacks starts coming, if you don’t buy genuine properties. It’s scary out there. 1 Like |

GreyWolf01: It is only a kid that could have said " investing is shares and stocks is a waste of time and money". But since you are claiming not to be one, sorry for my assumption. Maybe you are just an ignorant adult who refused to educate himself and has agreed to hold on perpetually to the ignorant end of the stick. You are right. I am a kid. What an assumption! Just that I am a kid old enough to have bought shares during public offer of 2002, 2003 for himself and his children. |
