You mean the dollar+naira rate also affect the petrol price?

Haven't you noticed even before Dangote ... as the Naira increased per dollar so did the price of petrol? If you didn't... start paying attention. Let's say the importer is buying petrol at $0.50 per liter .... @N1700/$1 ... that's N850 per liter. The importer is selling to you at the same price... N850. The Naira then slides to 2000/1. The importer is still buying at $0.50 per liter but now he has to pay N1000.... and will now be selling to you at N1000. For him to continue selling at N850 ...the FG has to subsidize with N250 for every liter. And this will open doors for profiteering.

The Truth is that:
1.Who Are the Marketers in Nigeria? ie the Owners of Trailers, the Big Lorrie in Nigeria- who formed an illegal Association a long time ago( while Nigerians were 'Sleeping ' then,so that they Dictate Prices of Fuel at will' without Mercy to you -Consumers.
They love Importations- so they don't want to Change,as the Dangote Refinery is a disruption to their Importations of Fuel ⛽ and don't be surprised, they are the People in Govt( the Executives,in Legislatures and Depts like NNPC,etc, they hate Local Production!
2.if you see what Alh.Dangote said today,,' that he has -Half a Billion Fuel in the Refinery but the Nigerian Marketers refused to Pick it's but why?
3.that ,if they picked the Fuel in Dangote Refinery, then the Prices, will go down drastically!
4.these Marketers are the Real Enemies of the Nigerian Masses.
5.•That Is the TRUTH- as they Cannot Manipulate - the CBN,the Banks so -called Imports Documents - Letters of Credit- Again, or Port Document and they are doing everything to Frustrate Dangote and cause ques in our Petrol Stations!
• Why are We Wicked To Ourselves !
We should be paying about N600, but these Marketers work with the NNPC and Others ,so that Fuel Prices will not go down.
Very Shameful and Unpatriotic elements, all over Nigeria.

Nigerians are fearful entity, living a miserable life in fear.

When you are living a life that you are deprived of basic Amenities that makes life beautiful you are not living a life. So why all the fear? Living in penury and you don't want to die?

No hope of life becoming better tomorrow and you are all scared to to do the needful.

Point finger to the politicians that you can't take it anymore.

In sane countries outside Nigeria, her citizens can not take this shit from its politician but here we are taking the shit hoping that God will do miracle, miracle can never happen if you don't do the right thing.

If we sit like this and hope change will come without action, change can never come. The politicians are comfortable with what comes into their pockets so they don't care if the president's policy is choking their citizens.

At this point, it's not a time to be divided along tribe and religion, we are all in this shit together. The earlier the better. Lets shake the government. Lets shut Nigeria with massive protest. I am not scared, I cant be living like I am comfortable while I am not. The Youth of this country can shut this country down with protest.

Don't be scared the security formation of the country is even overwhelmed with the current hardship in the country, so, they want the youth to shake up this country. We can't be living like this.

I am ready if you are ready. Put date make Everywhere scatter. All die na die.

Am ready also

It was deregulated Upstream, but the NNPCL still has regulatory influence over the pricing of petroleum products.

9jatriot:
Did Tinubu announced the increase specially to you, coz the rest of us did not hear any broadcast....

Incase you are just coming from Afganistan, I am happy to announce to you that the price of PMS is now deregulated, marketers now fix their prices the same way other sellers of other products are able to fix the prices of their products without the president having to help them fix their prices.

When I school you again now, you will say that term is arrogant.

Once again with the shoddy grasp, and finicky memory.

Why are you still hellbent on 1600? Why are most Nigerians like this ffs? The naira for crude policy has supposedly kicked off since early October, so why are you still using the 1 dollar benchmark? The more things change, the more they remain the same🤦‍♂️

Dem use suffer swear for una for dis country ni. Abi iru awon eyan wo ni mo'n ba gbe ilu bayi. You sef go become leader one day and will continue the destruction of this country. Wait are you in the generation of the ruling class that has sunk the country so far, cos I'm guessing now you likely can't be part of my generation, we largely don't think THIS WAY like the older generation that does, and has failed woefully so far. What was the whole point of naira for crude, if your mentality about benchmarking it to 1 dollar like we still import for the most part was never going to change??. Same you support the battering of the naira. What sort of self immolation is this?

Una qo queue buy that fuel for 2k till 2027 and beyond and I will be here to remind you every step of the way.

Let's get this "schooled" me in out of the way once and for all.

What did you school me in?

I said Buhari did not achieve 1trillion in and you said he did. You now proved it to me. Is that what is making you proud? A difference in figures? Stop acting like a child!

Oya humour us, Why do you still expect fuel to be sold at the 1dollar benchmark, when the naira for crude deal that was supposed to somewhat address that, has kicked off since early October? Does it still cost one dollar to land 1litre of petrol that is produced here with no shipping charges and import duties?

Oya theorise, sir

What were the signs Buhari floated rhe naira? There were zero signs he did. Zero!

There's a difference between saying something and doing something.

Buhari was a hardened economic illiterate who had a poor understanding of market forces.

A womaniser says he would stop flirting but he is still going to Moremi hall in Unilag everyday.

Even when he told his wife he would, stop, the wife dismissed it inside her.

Buhari never wanted the official exchange rate reflect market realities. How will you say you floated the Naira when the official exchange rate is not market reflective?

laughable! Hilarious response at best

It was and still is in the news. I already shared the links with you a year ago. If you don't believe ALL the dailies in 2016 that reported on the float/devaluation multiple times as effected by both Maalu Buhari and Emefoole, that na your own problem na. The other obvious sign visible to the blind and audible to the deaf was that the naira moved from around 180naira to the 360/400 range, a full approx 100% devaluation.

How is that for a sign? You have no point, no argument, no logic. You are just typing empty English. I'll take you seriously, maybe sometime in the future. For now, my conclusion is you're not to be taken seriously, and it's best i refrain from engaging with you on here.

I mean, if all that isn't visible to you, and wasn't market reflective enough, how then is it not a waste of time debating with you, when you're in an alternate universe clearly? How in the world would you ever be able to answer my earlier loaded question, or any such questions, when you can't grasp simple stuff?

Cheers
