Dear Job Seekers, Searching for the right job can be challenging, but remember to stay vigilant. Legitimate employers value your talent—not your money. Red Flags to Watch For: 1. Genuine employers don’t charge candidates. 2. Requests for payment often signal scams. 3. Employers typically cover recruitment costs themselves. Protect Yourself: 1. Ask questions: Always clarify any payment requests. 2. Research the company: Verify their website, social media presence, and reviews. 3. Report any suspicious activity to protect yourself and others. Remember Your Worth: You deserve a role that values your skills and experience. Don’t let desperation cloud your judgement. Stay Safe, Stay Hopeful: Better opportunities are out there. Keep your head up and trust the process. Best regards, The JobZoneNG Team You can join JobZoneNG on telegram |

umarc19: True, but it also depends on the medication being prescribed. All hospital pharmacies in theory are supposed to have the drugs that appear on the WHO essential drug list. Sometimes, the drug needed is not available on the list, so the hospital may not have it, and it has to be bought outside. (A relative of mine is on certain drugs to manage her condition. One of the drugs is so rare that she has an arrangement with a pharmacist who has access to supplies of the drug from oversease to get it. You cannot get that particular drug for sale easily in any pharmacy in Nigeria because the condition it treats is not that common). Also, high density hospitals like the teaching hospital may run out of drugs from time to time....meaning that the Procurement department has to order for replacement and that may take some time.(The supplier may not have the drug available at that time, so he or she may have to order from either Lagos or oversease, and that takes time). Sometimes if the patient is rich enough, they may quickly buy it privately...but that depends if the private pharamcy too has the drugs. Finally some doctors have their prefered brand of drug. I once knew a doctor who did not use any brand of diazepam except Swiss pharma branded diazepam. NO, Swiss pharma was not paying her to promote their drugs...she just felt that the brand performed better than other brands of diazepam. Meanwhile, the hospital where she worked had lots of diazepam...not just Swiss pharma branded. 3 Likes |

malali: Hon. Amina S Abdullahi, the commissioner in question in this story is a totally different person from Dr. Amina Abdullahi Ganduje (who is the daughter of Ganduje and isn't even a commissioner or part of the present government or cabinet). So what's the whole fuss about? I don't know how to help you, but I wouldn't call you a liar, because you refused to read and check facts well. Why not just go and read it or ask people on ground to confirm rather than being quick to call someone a liar...why are we so abusive as Nigerians 5 Likes 1 Share |

Jayhome24: So, you want doctor to treat patient's for free? I know a doctor who was merciful to patients who could not pay. He had to close his clinic in one year, and go back to the oversease he came from because he could no longer have enough cash to run his clinic effectively 2 Likes 1 Share |

nairalanda1: God bless you for all your insightful responses so far. Some people just enjoy cursing and cursing, when they have no idea how a system functions. It is well… nairalanda1: I tried responding to that post you quoted, but was lost for words. That’s one of the reasons a good number of private hospitals refer seemingly complicated cases to government hospitals, because after exhausting all your resources, time to pay bill; the doctor and nurses become devils! 1 Like |

ItisWell22: Thank you, though to be frank, corruption is an issue as well. But many times the reason why a drug a is not in the pharmacy has less to do with corruption, and more of a supply issue. 1 Like |

nairalanda1: Let’s even assume it has to do with corruption. How is it the business of the young doctor who’s also affected by the corruption, on the ward? Shouldn’t she be calling the CMD to give her answers? 1 Like 1 Share |

Just because she is a commissioner doesn't give her the right to assault me. If I were the doctor I LL assault back! I rather lose my job than my dignity and impact discipline on those that have none. I can't see why even my parents don't treat me this way then a I allow political useless appointee use her position to embarrass me when I m even more educated and qualified than her |

malali:when Ikwechegh slapped a Bolt driver, the Bolt driver's association didn't go on strike. I don't know why Nigerian doctors are socially awkward, psychological compromised and have the arrogance of a village tout. So innocent patients and infants in the paediatric ward will now suffer because one stupid commissioner assaulted a doctor? Nigerians go through this everyday, the doctor should simply file a police report and get the commissioner arrested without blackmailing the kani state government and betraying the Nigeria public who are patients in that hospitals This is how one doctor was kidnapped and these misplaced idiots who lack empathy for their patients but think only of their ego went on strike abandoning the very lives to were supposed to try to save Now a useless proud Commissioner assaulted a doctor on duty and they called for a strike. How really educated and evolved are these plonkers? 1 Like |
