The expansion of South African Airways’ (SAA’s) international and African network next year is expected to provide some relief in what is otherwise likely to be a gloomy year for airline traffic, especially in crisis-hit Europe.

SAA will launch its first nonstop flight to Beijing, China, at the end of next month and is also planning to expand its reach into Africa by adding about seven new destinations over the next few months.
