Police Affairs Minister, IGP, Udensi, Others In UK For INTERPOL General Assembly by Metrix147: 12:34am On Nov 07
ABN TV reports that top stakeholders in Nigeria's security structure are participating in the ongoing Interpol General Assembly in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Leading the delegation is the country's Minister of Police Affairs, Sen. Dr. Ibrahim Gaidam, who is accompanied by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Vice President of Interpol, AIG Umar Baba Rtd., Interpol NCB Abuja CP Olu Adegbite and the renowned Interpol Systems Consultant, Sir Chikwe Udensi.

They joined Heads of Police Agencies and Police Chiefs from the 196 INTERPOL member countries to attend the 92nd INTERPOL General Assembly in the United Kingdom.

The event which kicked off Nov. 4 will come to an end on Thursday 7th November 2024.

The gathering has also given the Nigerian delegation the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with Europol members and delegates of other countries represented to discuss security issues related to global partnerships, governance, data processing, general policing capabilities, and organized global crimes.

The Nigerian police community hopes to leverage on the positive outcome of the meeting to further strengthen the capacity of the Nigeria Police Force and the West African Police Chiefs Committee (WAPCCO) in his capacity as chairman, in its quest to curb organized crimes across the country and West African subregion.

The IGP reiterates the commitment of the force through its INTERPOL unit to continuously collaborate with other Police institutions to ensure collaborative investigation of international crimes and thereby reduce the potential for such crimes within our borders.

I wish they could work on protecting Nigerians data from those international companies or apps breaching data. One of them is an app called ultra pro exchange developed by some Indians

I really wonder about the relevance of the so called police minister and his useless entourage's presence in such a meeting as that. Science 0%, tech nil, super cop skills never, to mention a few. He simply went to mark attendance on register..

See as one of them open mouth waa like who dey hungry for days, in the name of yawning...

Check their mind and see that everything they are thinking about is the estacode, how they would change the allocated pounds to Naira on arrival....You can see that one opening mouth very wide like donkey. Bunch of corrupt individual. They always go for the seminars but hardly learn anything to better the Nigeria policing. The will return and still re-instruct their boys at every checkpoints especially in South south on a new device and better system of collecting bribe tolls from transporters, private vehicles etc. These people can never changed despite all the world interpol and local policing seminars they always attend.

It is the allowance in £ Pounds they will paid they are after.

New innovation in public Policing and control of protesters will not be implement in Nigeria. They prefer the old school pattern of mounting checkpoints looking for Lexus and Benz.

Why is it that there is always many abandoned rickety vehicles parked in Police Stations in Nigeria, is that how it's done in Europe ?
