Most Online Vendors Are Low Key Scammer (my Story) by rastaLivity: 8:30am On Nov 07 |
So I was strolling Instagram one fateful day of August 2024 and I saw a Thrift page ‘thrift corners’; I didn’t know this will be my entanglement with a hitherto seller cum scammer. I’m not going to bore you with too many details, so I’m going to delve into the basics. I saw a water bottle I liked, I replied her with the post she made on her dm and specifically asked if the Black colour was still available (cos she posted three), and she confirmed ‘Yes, you can pay’,. Only for her to send a washed mini sized water bottle for me with no explanation whatsoever. This very bottle I got can’t be more than 2k in the market, that’s how inferior it is. Note: you would notice ‘post unavailability’ to her post I replied to that’s because she has restricted my account from her profile, and I’m sure we are many in this category

I also chatted her on the toothbrush holder she posted, she replied ‘Yes it was available’, I went ahead to make payment. But this very items was never delivered. This very transaction was done in august, delivered on 15 October (will also come back to ghis later) so she had all the time in the world to alert me of any changes, I think she was hoping I won’t notice it wasn’t included among the things I got. Her excuse after I told her my item was omittted was that it had a crack, so she waited for me to come back from my 2months travel to tell me this, so what happens to reaching out to me and telling me that. Again, you won’t see her post I replied to, because she has restricted my account

Now, time for waybill was another headache of lies. She was always not forthcoming with her words, sometimes she will read my comments and not reply. I requested my items be delivered on the September 28, but it was a back and forth issue with her. Weeks will go by and I won’t hear from her, it was almost as if she doesn’t know these things are meant to be delivered, if I don’t chat her up then she won’t give an excuse/reason. After two weeks I became agitated and unruly about her and everything, had to let her know how I feel. Her excuse was that ABC transport network has been down all week, but unknowingly to her, someone helped picked my items the previous day on same ABC office at Eliozu, and when I told her she stopped replying my messages.

Now to end this tale, when i laid hands on my things. It was a rollercoster of shear denialism and air grabbing from Anita Edohs. She was even insisting I send another delivery fee if I want the actual water bottle I payed for, else she can’t help me and the tooth brush holder money was just refunded this morning after much back and forth spiced with threats. Now this is the bore of this thread, most online sellers(not all please) are like Anita Edohs. Selling what you see against what’s on ground; A Tactical Scam( giving you a different and low price service you payed for), just to make quick bucks. Trading their integrity along the line, a Quick Look on her page one would notice the rapid decline of patronage. Now she has blocked/restricted me, over to her next victim. 1 Share

rastaLivity: Hmmm.. She scammed you and others too and in a week can make 30K and up. So while your loss might not be much, you surely aren't the only one she's scamming. Report her page and let your friends do so too. One of these Instagram vendors advertised an open box steam iron for 30K last year, if I remember correctly, only for me to get it and it was a very used and scratched tokunbo that can't iron without leaving sh1t on your cloth. Can't use the thing without feeling so cheated and angry. I'm sure she thinks I've forgotten it. But I'm gonna treat that fcvk up even if it takes me a million years. 3 Likes |

GabrielYulaw:You needed to see the low quality mini bottle water she delivered to me, totally different from what I paid her for, I think she buys these things in bulk but used fake pictures to sell them. Karma will catch up with her, she thinks she’s smart. 2 Likes

Most of them are low budget thrives. The energy they used in replying “available sir”, “alert received with thanks” usually disappears when it comes to dispute resolution. |
