I'm interested as a POS agent in my community. Too many debited and declined transactions.

Something that happens to tithes and offering.

Someone spends it!

But you will be told it’s being remitted to CBN, just like they tell you it’s God that takes your money cos he is financially broke. 🀣🀣🀣

I have always asked this question, if they mistakenly credit you, they wont come to your house, they initiate a debit automatically but if they debit you, you have to go to the bank and beg them and they will tell you 5 working days. Why did their own not take 5 days before they took it back. Scam country

CBN is the worst and most corrupt organisation in Nigeria. They dont even reply to your mail when you write them.

From suspense account to End of year party.

I wouldn't be sure though. I once saw a reconciliation account on a microfinance bank's GL line that comprises legacy unclaimed funds. Every year, it sits there as a liability line with zero movement. I think there is regulatory oversight over such funds

Quite worrying how funds and transactions are managed in Nigerian banks. These banks are notorious in using every possible way to swindle people of their hard earned money and no one is checking that. Is there even check and balance in Nigeria to begin with?

How can a bank expect to be contacted before reversing a failed transaction of #500,000, even after days? Don't tell me they are not aware. Sometimes, I wonder if they do it on purpose to accumulate profits.

Even when these funds are reversed, you will still need to contact them to refund the charges. Chai... Naija ways! That's why they won't include the history of account balance to include initial and final balance of every transaction. You will now be receiving statements of account that doesn't balance. I wonder how many of such charges have been disposed off people's account. That's fraud and nothing else!

I had a failed transaction of 18k while using an 🏧 machine...

I never went to First Bank to lodge a complaint

After about 2 months, I got an 18k alert out of nowhere.

Then I remembered that Failed transaction.

And Smiled 😊😊😊
don't smile bro, the bank uses such failed transactions that they pile up in billions and uses it to do forex businesses and now return the sum to its individual customers, if you add the billions of dead customers deposits then you will know how they generate such humongous profits after tax that they announce annually

Use twitter to contact the bank customer care and initiate a refund request.
U don’t need to visit the bank.
I use to collect any kobo that fails.
Even 50kobo

I still have my money held with Kuda mfb despite all my evidences i was frustrated with different types of excuses since Emefiele's period as CBN governor.post=132793750]Every establishment done in Nigeria be it physically, online e.t.c always have penchant for kleptomania.

Imagine banks withdrawing 20 naira from your bank and they will still do it to other thousands of people that opened account with them, imagine how much they are making on our head. If you want to get peace of mind go and open opay, Kuda is the worst online bank I have ever opened, many of my money that was debited twice that I didn't go after I know say na them chop am.[/quote]

I had two failed POS N5,000 transactions in October 2023. I lodged an online complaint but Standard Chartered Bank kept posting me. From January 2024, I started calling their Customer Service aggressively. Their reps will be answering me with strange Indian accent (I didn't understand half of what they said most of the time). And before they even deal with your issue, they'll be asking you annoying questions to verify my identity 😠

Sha, in April 2024, they refunded me N5,000. When I asked them about the other N5,000, they closed the email thread without answering me. I sent another email complaining. Got a vague response, and this is November 2024, still no positive response - I guess that N5,000 was added to their 2024 profits already . . .

I moved all my money from there and have effectively dumped the account.

If I can be treated like this for failed transaction of just N10,000, I imagine what would happen if a higher amount was involved πŸ˜žπŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”
