It's more than 2 months now, the agent has refused to refund my caution fee

I didn't spoil anything in the house, in fact, I didn't even stay in the house, because after renting it, my office gave me an apartment

I probably slept there for less than 20 nights in 1 year

Now the agent says the new tenant is painting the house because there were cobwebs in the house

And they are taking the money from my caution fee

I am really offended and angry

It's simple, just tag VDM (Very Dark Man) on facebook or X, or instagram and all the details of the agent, and your money will fall out within 3 days. I trust VDM die.

I don't understand. Do you mean you left the house unoccupied for the rest of the year? If your company gave you accommodation, why didn't you sublet your house out to another person, and get some funds back?

omoh you better go break something worth that amount In the house.
Some fights are actually worth it.

Don't report to the police. Look for an elder of a respected oerson in the location.

Meet him or her, explain to them and apoeal to them to assist you recover your money.

Peace is the only solution.

I'm a peace loving man but don't take advantage of that and think I'm a coward. There's a level you'll push me to and my reaction will surprise you even when you are lying cold in the mortuary.

Caution fee is a gone money...
Once you pay caution fee and wants to park out it's gone not minding if the house is in order or not...
Best option park out with something equivalent to the amount you paid as caution fee let them use the fee to get a replacement..
You can auction it at worst half of the amount and you will not lament for losing all your money...

I'd have suggested you report to the Police but those will also charge you but I agree, we should have to live with such injustice everyday.

This country tire person. Police that's supposed to help freely will also bill you. Assuming police doesn't bill people, crime and injustice would have been greatly reduced by now

Was this signed in the agreement papers? If yes u can follow it up. If no, the money is gone. It happened to me.

Just walk away. I experienced that in Asaba when I was relocating to Lagos. The landlord refuse rorefund my caution fee (#150,000).

I was already in Lagos when I told me staff to move my things, after that I demanded for my refund and the landlord refuse on the ground that the outside wall was stained and there were stain on the pop ceiling due to water leakage which was not my fault.

See the picture of the outside wall, it was a foot print of a stray cat. He said I need to repaint the entire house in and out before he will refund. I just walked away.

Just attest him. Simple!

Go to the police station and stop disturbing us here.

Na this kind case I dey find self. Very sweet. I prefer the police collect the money and eat it than for the agent to cheat me.
