State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, has said the only way the country can have stable electricity is to vote out the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from power in next year’s general election.

Fashola, who gave the counsel while marking his 2,600 days in office at an elaborate ceremony held at the Blue Roof of the Lagos Television premises, said electricity crisis in the country is caused by lack of ideas and insincerity of purpose on the part of Federal Government.

Yet he was there and couldn't do anything for 8 years meaning for him saying electricity crisis in the country is due to lack of idea insincerity of purpose in the part of the government, he was there but nothing to show for it.

Bro you see these men deserves to be stoned to dæd, when he was blabbing he forgot that he will be there but look at where we are today.. So as I said anything who wanna leave the country make em no listen to this man oo

Someone needs to explain why the APC and it's supporters are so passionately opposed to Nigerian migration to other countries.

WHY? I need to understand this. A logical answer, a systematic explanation. Please.

Good Luck to Nigerians

He is just massaging the failure of his party.

Was he not the one who said any government who can't fix the power situation in Nigeria in 6 months is a failure? Question, in his time was he able to address the situation?

He is failure based on his earlier assertions. He lacks the moral right to tell Nigerians not to go to crime where they sensible government have provided reasonable condition for prosperity.

Point of correction, the country was a lot better during the younger days of those successful individuals he mentioned, infact people barely japa then. Also, to Japa doesn't stop any one abroad from investing (build Uni etc) in Nigeria. There are lots of Nigerians in diaspora that have invested hugely in Nigeria even while abroad.
Re: Japa: Resist Temptation To Abandon Nigeria, Fashola Tells Youths by TWoods(m): 9:04pm On Nov 09, 2024
Fashola, who admitted that things were tough in Nigeria, advised young people in the country to push their way through to get into a place of decision-making.

Why did Mrs Folorunso Alakija not run away? Why did Chief Tunde Afolabi who have contributed to Nigeria not run away ? Why are they still here? Times were equally tough in their younger days that propelled the popular musician Dr Victor Olaiya’s song Ilu le o, ko s’owo l’ode…. (sics) in the 60s.

“The youths have become leaders in the Nigerian household, and therefore, they must embrace that responsibility. Do leaders also run away when it is difficult? There were tough times when Chief Ade-Ojo was at the University of Nigeria (UNN), but Ade-Ojo didn’t leave. If he had left, there would be no Elizade University.” he said.

Strange. Why didn't he mention his own kids?

The people he mentioned, and their families, all have second passports. I bet Fashola himself, and his family, does. Dont be fooled.

1 gallon = 3.78 liters

In USA, 1 gallon of regular fuel = $2.69 (Costco) /3.78=
0.71.
0.71 x 1,687(price of 1 dollar) = ₦1,197.77.
USA pays approximately= ₦1,197.77 per liter of fuel

Nigerians are paying almost the same price for fuel with the USA but minimum wage is not even close in comparison.
