Claudio Ranieri has been reappointed as the head coach of Italian football club Roma for a third term.

At 73, Ranieri is tasked with improving Roma's underperforming season, having won only three of their first Serie A matches.

He will also transition into a senior executive role at the end of the 2024/25 season, advising the club’s ownership on sporting matters and helping select the next manager.

Ranieri is famous for leading Leicester City to their historic 2015/16 Premier League title and has previously managed both Chelsea and Roma.

His appointment follows the dismissal of Ivan Juric, who had a brief tenure as Roma's head coach.
