Guys I Need Advice On Home Fitness. by EzehFx: 4:48pm On Nov 17
I turned 20 this year but i look like a 17-18yr old and I have No beards too, lol. And i look kinda skinny from my neck down to my waist and it weird because neither my dad or mom is skinny(If it about food, I eat well so it not an issue, honestly).

And since I got no money for gym I've decided to go into home fitness activities to boost my body growth. I Don't care how long it takes as far as it works out I'm fine doing it daily. So guys pls recommend me some home fitness activities I can be consistently doing to improve my body growth.

I know I know it the romance section but it gets alot of attention so...

You will do more of strength training i.e
Push up for upper body, squatting for lower body or balance, lunges for lower body too,eat more of protein. Start with that first.

Aim for 50 push ups a day for the first week. Though you may take a day off if you feel sore on your chest and arms.
Aim for 60 pushups a day for the next week
Aim for 100 pushups a day the third week.
After which aim to complete the 100 pushups within half a day, and from there keep shortening the timeframe to complete the 100 pushups.
For legs, try to play football on weekends if you can. I dont think body weight squats would do much in growing your legs

...And the for beards, Just ensure you wash your face and chin like twice a day to clear the pores of your hair follicles.
The workouts should give you a testosterone boost and combined with cleaning of your face, might help grow out your beards.
If no beards after all these, you just have to give it a few more years hopefully for your time to come

I used to be like you when I was 20 but very very skinny(BMI of 14.7 then). But I could do up to 12 push ups back then.
Back then I'd do like 12, then after two days attempt 13 and after 2days try 14. I continued like this till I could do 20. At 20 I started doing the 50 push ups a day.
Maybe you can try this but you start with 8 in your case. Currently I can do 80-85 pushups straight and 100 if I dont go low enough. And my chest and shoulders are very well developed. So you can try it out and see how far you go

Push ups are done in sets.

Aim to do 8 push ups, 6x daily.

Home exercise are best done in sets.

The most important factor aside food is your daily activities. Trekkers generally are skinny, like myself.

I started adding weight when I drastically reduced trekking..... I can trek interstate grin grin

Eat well, exercise, reduce calories waste.
See marathon runners, always skinny but fit.

You better calm down amd enjoy your young life. You just finished being a teenager and you are in a hurry to change looks. Calm down.

Fitness is good but can you do the work?

Start with a total of 30 push ups and 30 squats every morning for 2 months if you're serious.

Which of the advice here you don start with?
Re: Guys I Need Advice On Home Fitness. by Cousin9999: 5:09am On Dec 03
Either you're naturally thin, or you just need to train. Wiz Khalifa was bony, and it only took a year for him to get this body (see pic below). He achieved this through weightlifting for an hour a day and thai boxing training.

If you're naturally thin, you won't really fill out (naturally) until like 30. And if you train in a certain way, you may be skinny for longer than that. But don't start taking supplements or anything like that because you'll only damage your body.

There are things you can do though if you're naturally thin. Try to make your back and shoulders a bit bigger. Basic movements help here:

Pullups
Dips
Pushups
Swimming (don't do too much or you'll lose size)

Also, maybe you can't get that much size up top, but you may be able to develop your legs more, which will fill you out and make you look fitter. Basic movements help here too:

Lunges
Squats
Jumping movements (these can be dangerous, do your research, and be careful)

Also, you can still do some weight training even if you can't afford a gym. Buy adjustable dumbbells.

If you can't afford them, you can make some out of cement, sand, car parts, rope, tires, and other scrap. But be careful. Make sure things are secure and you're not at risk of injuring yourself. Also, make sure you're not doing too much, too soon.

Some basic movements for dumbbells:
bench press
curls
reverse curls
row
squat
lunge
fly
raises
overhead press
deadlift

Whey protein powder is a safe supplement, but make sure it's just protein and doesn't have anything suspect in it.

Someone who hasn't done exercises consistently should aim for 50 pushups as a start? Do U even know what push ups are? Or maybe U don't know how to do it right so U think it's just going up and down. As a beginner he can do 15 -20 first week in sessions of three, reducing the reps by 5. That way he doesn't hurt himself and progresses in it. When U over do strenuous exercises wrongly U lose muscle mass instead of gains. As the weeks goes by his body will yearn for more reps naturally as it becomes attuned to it

That's how it's supposed to be. The more consistent U are the more reps U can push further. Don't listen to anyone telling to start with 50 or hundred cos U will hurt Ur muscles and gain no muscle mass, sore, lose strength and endurance. Start small and Ur body will naturally demand more when it's getting what it needs to pump up. Consume lots of protein too. To get there faster U can do the sessions morning and night and always have rest days to allow Ur muscles grow from the tear which expands it.

As for beards. Forget am. It will come naturally when it will and if not, U don't need it. Nothing special about it
