A lot of comments above, yet none has provided answer to the question of the op

.. is the snake venomous or not?

I may not be sure, but based on the color and length, that snake might possibly be a mamba. 👇

I still killed one this year on my site
This is how a mamba looks like

How did the lizard get paralyzed if not by venom. Or do you think the animal will stay put while its being swallowed?
yes, let tell you what happened the lizard invite the snake because of Tpain suffering is bigger, and more tormenting.
Re: Is This A Venomous Snake? by shortgun(m): 11:23pm On Nov 19
That snake is not venomous. It's a rat snake, they kill their prey by constriction then swallow them whole.

According to the picture I saw and as a regular watcher of Snakes in the City by Simeon Key's and Suisse Gullets, this is a common brown house snake and non venomous!

I see now. Something must be feeding on the lizards. Everywhere will be full of lizards if not for snakes that feed on them. I see now.

Nature is unkind to snakes, they have to swallow their food whole and be at their weakest and most vulnerable moment while they wait to digest.

But isn’t it same for men, a man becomes weak and most vulnerable when his rod is inside kpekus. Apart from being opened to Stds, emotional blackmail, possibility of unwanted pregnancies and other ties associated with it. That’s the moment a man can promise heaven and earth, that’s the moment top and highly classified secrets can even be gotten from powerful men.
Every man experiences that moment of total weakness and gullibility, from the most powerful men to even a beggar on the street, until you finally digest that kpekus and cum, before sanity will return

And it’s funny that a man’s rod comes in similar cylindrical shape as a snake

grin

Omg this is crazy 🤣

From this your comment
Men are animals but on another level
Men are gullible

This your comment really cracked me up 🤣 😂

Not all snakes are venomous. Infact only 15% of all 3,900 known snake species are actually venomous

That is to say that only a few snake species are actually venomous and you can tell so by keeping a distance of about 6ft or more and looking at the head shape.

Venomous snakes tends to have a triangle shaped head

My post has answered the question. The lizard won't stay put to get swallowed of it isn't paralyzed in the first place.

Pythons constrict their prey before swallowing, other snakes immobilise the prey with venom.

70-80% of snakes are non venomous
30-40% of snakes kill by constricting prey(eg python, boas, constrictors etc)
Roughly 15% are venomous
The rest use various other means like drowning prey, ambush biting(blunt trauma to prey) crushing, active hunting and biting, etc

The Lizard died as a result of the impact the killer of the snake struck. He couldn't have killed the snake hitting its head without killing the lizard

Poor thing. It was only trying to get it's own daily bread.
Re: Is This A Venomous Snake? by stagger: 6:52am On Nov 20
Only two ways snakes kill prey: constriction or venom.

That snake is definitely venomous since it did not coil itself round the lizard while eating it.

What if the snake strangled the lizard to death first, before finishing it off with the swallowing?

You concluded the lizard is paralyzed just by viewing the photos? undecided
The poster made a very valid point because snakes don't swallow their preys without immobilising them.

Its not venomous
Take it and start training it....it will grow big and protect you some days.

All snakes are dangerous!

All snakes are not dangerous. In Africa, not sure of the stats for Nigeria practically 40% of snakes do not have a venom that's toxic to humans.

I swear bro your analogy is absolutely top notch, scientifically simple, naturally real, emotionally soaked and humanly true.
