MadPolitician:
The whites from Netherlands and France used to own the mines. They made billions of dollars of "profits" from those mines and are still doing so. That's how the richest South African ended up being White. The South African blacks never called them Zama Zama or kwerrekwerres (whatever that nonsense means). But they now want blacks from other countries to die in the.mines as a way of punishing the so-called foreigners "stealing their jobs". My take is very simple; if South African blacks can tolerate Dutch kwerekweres and Zama Zamas, they should happily tolerate Zimbabwean and Mozambiquean and Nigerian kwerekweres too. No kwerekweres are better than the others..
LOL...gbamsolutely...The last line got me grin

We'll run the country the way we see fit. No more free ride for outsiders who see SA as a playing ground because our police aren't trigger happy unlike where they come from.

Why not go after the people who contracted them to mine? Offcos ur fellow South Africans got them hired to do the dirty job. So why not go after the employers so as to nip the issue of illegal mining in the bud??

A nation of shoplifters (both young & old) & spur-of-the-moment looters calling others criminals is just so rich! Hard work is a crime to these people, and beauty is not just in the eyes of the beholder, but tone deaf to the truth! If I were SA’n I’d hate myself too. cheesy

So no rule of law then? Ok. Were the whites operating outside of the rule of law?

Anyway, how can illegal miners "steal our jobs"? We dont want illegal jobs. Are you listening to the criminality you're advocating? Is Nigeria really that lawless that you see nothing wrong with this?

On Monday, officials on site and rescue teams, received a message from the illegal miners written in isiZulu, begging for ARVs so immigrants frm de West like +234 have studied isizulu dat well that they write wit it perfectly!!!!? Nooooo..... Stop hiding u guy's wrong on other nationals.

This 'emergency nationalism' amongst some Nigerians is back yet again.

This is a domestic South African matter and Nigeria has no business there. At this very moment there is large scale illegal mining going on in Zamfara and several other states in Northwestern Nigeria. The federal government gets zero revenue from these illegal mining operations and...those behind this criminal activity are largely responsible for the lawlessness plaguing large tracts of Northern Nigeria today. undecided

Nigerians should focus on their issues instead of South Africa's problems.
