How many times would people post it? Go and check the previous post on FAAC + IGR you will see the figures in the comments.
Maybe then you can stop playing ostrich.

Lagos, a southwest state still tops anything…

Or is Lagos a south east state?

Oil/Gas Producing States:

“Imagine if states are fully allowed to control their own oil/gas resources and not distributed to other states based on population”.

That's right. Meaning Lagos will earn less than most of the oil producing states.

Just imagine states were allowed to collect and control their VAT

Apart from Anambra, which is just about N700m higher, Ekiti has more VAT revenue than all the states in the SE
This your comment is contradictory my brother. "Ekiti has more vat revenue than all the states in the SE" and from the same paragraph, you claimed "apart from Anambra, which is just about #700m higher".

Now, how would Anambra be #700m higher than Ekiti and at the same time Ekiti will still have more VAT than all the states in SE?
You guys should stop playing tribal card and later look unlearned. Tax collection is not a function of state development.

And the VAT is not replicated in EKITI.

Ogun state has become useless under Daru dapo. Imagine editing without anything beating ekiti, ondo and osun. Ogun state came last from south west.

Where many of you have since died and living those mansions desolate,we know many of your children who always say they would rather live and die in Lagos than go to the east because they have lived all there lives in the city and can't imagine living in those savage, dead beat villages.

This is exactly why we want Biafra 💯 we are struggling for the best for our kids.

So that out children will later know that we have everything we need at home 🏡 🙂 and thank their parents for their sacrifice 🙏

Ebonyi Abakaliki is not the poorest state in South East truly.
I'm amazed. Kudos to the state govt.

Overall states need to alot better in VAT generation

In almost everything.

Age

The proof is all over. Human capacity index, GDP and Per capita income all have south east doing far better.

HDI always changes. In recent time,SW has gotten a lot more migration from both the SE and the North and they have contributed in no small measure to the poulace of almost no positive HDI but as for IGR and the other positivities,SW has always been consistent in being the leader of the whole nation because of their competence and versatility.

Taxation is not bad but the problem is that what percentage of the tax is being used for the citizens
Or what is the benefit of the masses in the tax?

You say migration, but when we ask for data and statistics on this same claims you make you guys dodge and try to play smart.
Bring numbers to support your claim. IGR is not a yardstick for wealth of an area. Why is it that IGR not used to assess the wealth of countries by the Bretton woods institution? Oga look for another lie that can stick, this propaganda attempt has failed.

Why not get everything you need at home first.... building mansions in the midst of poverty isn't development......you can't even go back home and sleep with your 2 eyes closed.

The basic economic indices of your sub nationals is appalling considering how you guys boast about your wealth.....lowest revenue in the south, lowest internet usage, insecurity etc.

The east still has a lot to do to harness it's full potential and trust me it will be a thing if joy if the east can truly look itself in the mirror and look critically at their problems and stop playing the victim card.

If those regions were conduceive for those oil companies to stay, they surely will,I bet you were to young or wasn't even born when shell was head quartered in warri, delta and mobil was in eket, akwa ibom before hostilities from the locals drove them out..... dangote refinery was also initially billed to be sited in the niger delta before he ran away with his capital to Lagos.

You don't know what you are talking about. Operational bases are different from administrative offices. Lagos state, being the administrative headquarters of Nigeria then made it attractive for all the the big companies in Nigeria to locate their head offices there. As we speak all the banks in Nigeria have their head offices in Lagos state. Does it mean that all the states in Nigeria are hostile to host banks head offices except Lagos state?

It makes no sense for any major commercial bank to have their hq outside Lagos and it equally makes no sense for oil companies to have their HQ outside the niger delta....the major reason that isn't the case for the latter is majorly due to insecurity and hostility of the communities in that region, dangote refinery being the most recent..... construction companies also bears the brunt as it cost more to work in the niger delta not majorly because of the terrain in some cases but the hostile attitude and demands by the commuinities.

Then let the government share the VAT proceeds equally to all the contributors (producers, administrators, consumers etc), instead of giving the lion share to Lagos state just because of hosting the administrative offices of these companies.

That's what the tinubu reform is trying to bring about but haters want the reforms discarded because it is coming from tinubu, the man they hate so much for defeating them at the polls.......not looking critically at the document to see it would benefit everyone better.....but they don't care, the country can as well burn to the ground.

Correct. However, "He who goes to equity must go with clean hands". The general fear and unacceptance of the proposed tax reform bill is as a result of lack of trust.

Currently, there is unrest in the oil sector, and fingers are pointing at Tinubu's family (OandO and Co) of subtly positioning to take over oil industry in Nigeria. Right now, important economic positions and appointments are giving to Tinubu's inner circle members. And Knowing Tinubu's antecedent with tax issues (AlphaBeta/Lagos state), the fear is that Tinubu's tax reform is one of the schemes majorly for himself, no matter how lofty it may appear now.

Therefore, there is need for thorough review and consultation before accepting a reform that would end up enriching one individual and his family at the expense of our common wealth.

Stop listening to propagandists and their attempts to always bring down their opponents no matter how disdainful......which oil industry is in crisis and how is tinubu wanting to take it over.

Lagos on the other hand is far better managed now than it was before alpha beta.....there is no way one man can hold the entire country to ransom but if he is trying to correct the structural lacuna we have as a country,he should be encouraged..... Nigeria is in a mess because we didn't have govts who could take the hard decisions in the past.

Propaganda is the song of Tinubu's government which we should not listen to. However, whether you agree with me or not, there is hunger in the land courtesy of Tinubu's support of Buhari's wasted 8 years, and the current T-Pain hardship due to wrong policies.

As of Lagos state, it stands to benefit from the human, natural and capital resources from other states, and will continue to flourish no matter how much AlphaBeta (Tinubu's tax collectors) siphons from its treasury.
