If he supported the emergence of this regime and ran away for others to bear the blunt, then life will never be kind to him over there.

My friend as well who is a Senior lecturer and lawyer with his chambers also left all that, relocated to be working as a cab man and health equipment delivery man....

Although he is a citizen of America anyway but that didn't go well for me....

The judicial system of Nigeria took a bad turn as from 2015....
Rendering many Lawyers as people without directions....
Politicians that didn't see the four wall of the University talk more of Law School ,now decide the fate of lawyers in a government case and not the other way round...

How many years has your friend been there and how is he doing now?

How do you know being a cleaner is the best decision.

That is a transition job, once he is licensed to practice here in the UK, he will then be on the path of stability.

Exactly. The economy is so bad now and everyone is suffering, but his location is also not viable. Private law practice is best done in big capital or commercial cities:Lagos, Abuja,Kano,Onitsha,Ibadan, Aba or PH.Check most of the SANs,they are in these places

Let's not forget that at the end of the day, those who are quick to mock him will never give him money.
Is it legal and brings in money? Do it. Just a reminder that nobody cares about you. If you die, life goes on.

Quite common to see Nigerians who aren’t lazy in the UK earning close to $1Billion USD per year even with a cleaning job

In a surprising turn of events, a renowned Nigerian lawyer has shut down his practice in Akure and relocated to the UK, where he now works as a cleaner in a clothing store.

This news was disclosed by a human rights lawyer based in Ondo, Bolanle Cole, who expressed deep concern on the matter.

Well, in modern day slavery, the slave offer him or herself to the would-be master

Words on the marble: IF HIM NEVER MAKE MONEY FOR NIGERIA, HIM NO FIT ENTER UK.
To the people trying to justify the lawyer's action with sob stories, please note that these foreign countries only grant visas to people with substantial funds. This information means you already had the funds you claim to be looking for in their land, but you submitted it voluntarily to a white man in exchange for menial jobs in their country to try an gather the same money all over again
PulaPower:
Toh..

That’s his choice. If him never make money for Nigeria, him no go fit get money to enter UK..

We wish ham well..

Name one Nigerian earning $1 billion per year as a cleaner in the UK. Do you think someone will be earning a billion dollars per year and not start his/her own company? The average pay per year in the UK is around £32,000 which should be around $40,000. A very hardworking Nigerian will find it hard to make $100,000 doing similar work.

If it is that easy to make one billion dollars, don't you think every American family will be worth at least a billion dollars?

Were you a senior lawyer with a chambers in Nigeria before you left to go do bar tender?

If not, your analogy is meaningless.

What I’m saying is irrespective of your status, as long as you are not going there as an employer of labor you will always likely start from bottom amassing job experience as you progress.

UK is no place you let your ego take the best of you else best you stay back in your country

Job and working style is different from country to country and UK is very competitive you must be on top of your game to make a headway.
