The Nigerian Army has said that troops of South-East Joint Task Force, codenamed Operation Udoka on Sunday, neutralized four suspected terrorists in Abia State, during a clearance operation.

This was disclosed by Lt. Col. Jonah Unuakhalu in a statement he released on Monday night.

He said the operation took place inside a forest in Umuaku Isuochi, Umunneochi LGA of Abia State, adding that the operation was carried out after credible information was received.

The statement also said that the troops at early hours of Monday raided a camp allegedly belonging to the Eastern Security Network in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, along the Imo River axis and destroyed the camp.

He disclosed that some arms, vehicles and other items were recovered from the camp and other camps in Imo State where similar raids were carried out.

Nigeria Army will kill unknown gunmen, and everyone will hail them. The day unknown gunmen kill them at their extortion point, they'll go into the neighbouring village and start destroying people's homes and shooting sporadically at anyone on sight.

Problem solved. No more terrorism in the South East. Let's continue plying stupid games. Govt fooling masses. Masses submitting to being fooled. When I see many people on Tinubus Facebook page hailing him I know hope is far from Nigeria.

What about Benue?

I'm yet to hear anything about military endeavors in a state where over 2000 lives have been cut short within the past year by terrorists.

If army goes to their camp and engage them then we have absolutely no problem

But when they kill military men and you turn to innocent igbos thats what I won't take

Fight the arms group that's no bodies business...

I swear with my life no matter what It takes me in the future.. All those military personnel responsible for Oyigbo massacre would be exposed and punished no matter what

The chaotic events in Benue are more dire and need more urgent attention than whatever is going on in the east

The fact that military actions are being carried out in states where there's medium risk of danger while high risk states like Benue are left unattended can only be due to low IQ due to failure to properly prioritize where to intervene, fear of more dangerous groups so they're looking for soft targets to pounce on, or political persecution.

It can only be one or maybe even all of the three, and whichever one it is paints the military in a negative light either as dullards, cowards, or biased fools.

I love this. If only our security forces are proactive and serious about dealing with these rag tag criminals, SE would have been free of crime.
I can't imagine a situation where trained security forces will be dealing with innocent civilians while running away from untrained criminals

Security agents are being attacked daily.

People who don't sit at home are attacked and killed in most cases.... And u think the situation is not dire??
Many months ago, unknown gunmen beheaded some Igbo people attached to the Nigerian army and you say the situation is not dire
U call it medium risk??

Please what are you smoking!?

Nice one. They should up their game and stop looking weak.

Gather intelligence.
Place heavy money on the heads of the leaders of this criminal gang claiming freedom fighters.

No room for any armed group of criminals claiming to be freedom fighters in Igboland.
