Can we officially stop importation now? Shebi they said Dangote can't meet local demand hence the reason why they must import. with this new development, can we all agree that local demand for refined products is taken care of and then marketers should be directed to stop importation. |

THEY WILL FINALLY ALLOW THIS REFINERY TO WORK, NOW THAT DANGOTE HAS BUILT A REFINERY. CLEARLY TINUBU IS NOT A NORTHERN PUPPET. SOMETHING THAT GEJ COULD NOT MANAGE, TINUBU DID IT. IF THIS REFINERY REMAINS FUNCTIONAL WITHOUT ANY FURTER STORY, THAT IS A PLUS TO TINUBU NAME. A GROUP OF PEOPLE NEVER WANT ANY REFINERY TO WORK IN NIGERIA. DANGOTE IS TRUILY A NATIONAL ASSET. 1 Like 1 Share |

I told someone on this platform sometimes ago that Dangote refinery is a game changer in the oil industry , every sickness affecting other refineries in the country would eventually disappear once Dangote refinery gain ground. Kaduna and warri refineries are coming up too soon and you shall hear of no breakdown anymore. The sabotage is finally going to be over. Nigeria is close to her greatness. Pawa100: 4 Likes 2 Shares |

integrity16: Ignoramus. The US and Saudi you always refer to, even though they have so many refineries, they still import to ensure availability. What we should do is to reduce our import significantly. Infact, we should not even care since it is now market driven. So if local production is cheaper, I go for it. If imported one is cheaper, I go for it. That way we have options. Oya say another thing. 1 Like |

Because they steal much more money when they import petroleum products than when refineries are working. If they rely on dangote alone, there is nothing to steal, so they have to creat another chopping outlet.....so refinery must work.... Kingosytex: |

Re: NNPC Shows Off Sample Of Refined Petroleum Product At Port Harcourt Refinery by Ade3131: 4:22pm On Nov 26 |
Okortor: Nope.... they're not. Their handlers had them sign an agreement to first increase fuel price to what we have now before the government-owned refineries would work. And they obliged by increasing fuel price in the name of subsidy removal as well as increasing other tariffs. Africa is still under colonialism.... it's called neocolonialism. 1 Like |

Okortor:My opinion is that the subsidy cabal sabotaged all our refineries until the coming of Dangote broke the jinx So, now that subsidy is dead, they’re are left with no choice but to handsfoff our refineries 2 Likes 1 Share |

Tinubu2027Agend: The USA Yes! They import more of crude and not refined products. [b]Saudi? With the success of Aramco? I doubt it. Saudi with the size and value of their foreign reserves have the financial muscles to import anything they want, can you say the same for Nigeria?? Our forex reserve is 40billion dollars, which is gross, remove all the financial organizations we are owing, what is left? Incase of next time, learn to engage in conversation constructively without insults. Calling me ignoramus is too low of you. Don't you think? 1 Like |

NNPC refineries are not in a Free Trade Zone, they do not need foriegn exchange to buy crude oil and our marketets don't need Dollars to buy NNPC products. Therefore, the prices of NNPC products should be far cheaper than that of Dangote or imported ones. NNPC was fast to publish how much Dangote was selling, we want to know how much are the product being sold. |

Bade007: The cartel in charge of NNPCL that have always made sure our refineries are grounded so that they can continue to make money from petrol importation have now been defeated haven failed to frustrate the functionality of the Dangote refinery and their only option is to announced that the PH refinery is now suddenly functional and with a further prospect of the Warri and Kaduna refineries coming on board soon. This should be clear for even the blind to see and in a sane clime, heads at the top of the NNPCL echelon will roll but then, this is Nigeria!!! Nevertheless, this is a win for Nigeria and petrol price should become cheaper soon if only they don't find another way to sabotage it. 1 Like |
