Subsidy fraud: who are the fraudsters, why not arrest them. So the solution to a bad tooth is to uproot all the teeth

Borrowing? Have you stopped borrowing? Have tinub borrowed less than buhari borrowed in 1year?
Ok the one tinubu is borrowing, what has he done with it
U're actually right my brother, there are lots of fools in this country. The quotation is who are the subsidy thieves? It's just a pity that this country is full of educated illeterates

Oil sector deregulation? Am sorry for you, you just spoke like a layman. Oya go and enter the oil business na.

Tinubu is a master of gradual deception.
In order that the deception may succeed it must be habitual and uninterrupted.

This one who deceives will always find those who allow themselves to be deceived.

I weep for Nigeria and it's easily deceived people

You will continue to weep till you get a mentality on positive smile for Nigeria.

Buhari gave the Contract, paid and supervised it. The completion period was this month. How does this relate to Tinubu that has spent 2 years as President without achieving anything?
Kyari gave a deadline of March, 2023. That was two months before Buhari handover.. What happened?

So if all refineries are working and Nigerians are still paying #1,000 for a litre of fuel..
That is cool with you?
Black man sef!

How much is fuel supposed to be selling?

ddippset:
#200 only.
Whenever they are able to get the minimum wage to #350,000 like some other oil producing counties,,
Then they can get fuel to #1,500.

There’s no country in the world that sells unsubsidised petrol at the equivalent of N200 per litre. None.

Other oil producing countries you’re referring to are oil rich while Nigeria is oil poor.

Let me break it down,

UAE 🇦🇪 with a population of about 10 million people makes about $62 billion annually from oil.

Qatar with a population of less than 3 million people earns about $42 billion from oil annually.

Libya with a population of less than 7 million people make about $25 billion annually from oil.

Meanwhile, Nigeria with a population of 220 million people make about $30 billion from oil annually.

Now you do the maths.

And when did minimum wage starts to determines pump price of petrol?

stonemasonn:
Excuses! Is Nigeria the most populated country in the world? Without corruption the oil wealth will go round. We don't have to be like UAE or Qatar.

Facts don’t lie.
Talking about corruption, you can start by asking your governor what he’s been doing with the increased monthly allocations he collects since June last year.

Go and sit down. Buhari gave the Contract, he also paid the contractors their funds fully. Now the refineries are completed. We all say a BIG thank you to Buhari.

Tinubu has not achieved anything since he assumed office 2 years ago grin

The common man is still buying fuel over 1k, something tinubu met at 185. Jinx breaker ko, suffering imposer ni

Refinery this refinery that, as long as the common man is not directly feeling the positive effects, it's all rubbish

Are you aware that the industry has been deregulated?

That means you can apply for license to import fuel and then sell at N185 per litre or maybe N200.

Everybody in Nigeria will buy only from you.

If he is really a breaker of jinx, he should subsidize the price of this one to push back the subsidy removal triggered inflation.

Price of a litre of fuel will not always stand at #1000 if all the refineries are functioning at optimum capacity because there will be competition among various refiners and this will bring down the price fuel. Everything is not bitterness and hatred, always try to adjust your brain to reality. Kudos to Tinubu for bringing life back Port Harcourt Refinery after more than twenty four years

PressMyButton:

The Mayor of Urhoboland and head of the Association of Urhobo Mayoral Family Crown (AUMFC), His Excellency Eshanekpe Israel, a.k.a. Akpodoro, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Chief Group Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Engr. Mele Kyari, for the successful commencement of petroleum product loading at the Port Harcourt Refinery.

In a statement following the announcement of the refinery’s resumed operations on Tuesday, Akpodoro described President Tinubu as a “jinx breaker” who has achieved what previous administrations could not, “President Tinubu has demonstrated capacity and dexterity,” Akpodoro stated, noting that successive administrations had turned the refinery repairs into a financial drain, failing to revitalize the facility despite borrowing billions for its maintenance.

The Mayor further criticized past administrations, particularly those of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), accusing them of using the refinery as a “conduit pipe to drain national wealth” and failing to deliver results.

He also highlighted the shortcomings of the immediate past APC-led administration under Muhammadu Buhari, which, despite funding efforts, could not operationalize the refinery due to systemic corruption. “Today, the man we voted for against all odds has delivered a legacy project to Nigerians,” Akpodoro declared, praising Tinubu’s leadership and vision.

He expressed optimism that with the refinery’s operation at a capacity of 65,000 barrels per day, Nigeria’s energy crisis would ease and market forces might drive down fuel prices.

The Mayor also lauded Mele Kyari for his resilience, patriotism, and leadership in managing a sensitive corporation like the NNPCL. He pointed out that Kyari has navigated challenges such as oil theft and public mistrust, demonstrating statesmanship in ensuring the refinery’s progress despite sabotage attempts aimed at maintaining the dependency on fuel importation. “This milestone gives hope to Nigerians that a brighter future is possible,” Akpodoro concluded.

The resumption of operations at the Port Harcourt Refinery marks a significant step in Nigeria’s efforts to enhance energy self-sufficiency and reduce reliance on imported petroleum products.

And to say that the past govts out of abundance and good financial conditions did nothing, but president Tinubu against all odds is fixing Nigeria with 10% of the wealth the previous govts enjoyed. It's like having the chefs you gave 1 million naira each cooked trash and the one you gave 100k cooked the most delicious food. This is why he's Asiwaju, but unfortunately Nigeria don't deserve his kind of great leadership that the world admires like Trump, Nigeria is used to low IQ leaders. Thank God for bringing up president Tinubu at this time. God our president.

Oga UAE, Qatar, Libya

What are their minimum wages?

Yes wage doesn't determine fuel price..

But fuel price increase should be commensurate with minimum wage since it's basically a mono economy like those countries you mentioned...

70k compare it to those countries, you will see that wage is an international embarrassment..

Imbecille, why not use your lung to refine the crude or just drink it, or you can die of hunger like all lazy people do across the world, it won't change anything, but all infrastructure can't lead to your stomach, that's a private thing.

Things are cheaper in Nigeria than in Benin, Togo & Ghana, but these people are not complaining of hunger because they are hard working and prepared for raining days.

Criminal Nigerians are used to dirty money, spending more than they earn and lazy as a sloth. Now that what separates productive people form lazy bums has happened, you have nothing to fall back on. At this rate you will eat sand like all useless people do.

All president Tinubu removed was fuel subsidy because there was no money to pay for it, so how is this affecting food that should be locally produced? If all you lazy bums can contribute your own little part to the society, hunger won't have to kill you, just a little tight finacial conditions.

This meathead doesn't even know that hundreds die everyday from inability to afford food or medicine.

A sensible president wouldn't remove fuel subsidy in one fell swoop without getting some refineries to work first, and a sensible homosapien wouldn't defend that.

Tinubu's supporters call it courage, but courage would be having the balls to go after the subsidy thieves and have them prosecuted.

It is fools like you who want to give a new meaning to the term "courage" and then shove it down our throats.

Never thought I'd ever see the day i'd see someone exhonerate the Nigerian leaders from the poverty and corruption in this country since independence and lay the blame on the impoverished and oppressed citizens.
Until today..

The simple summary of what you have just commented is that the common people in Nigeria are lazy while the government people who have stolen the nation's wealth over the years, by looting billions daily are not lazy.
