SESSION ON TAX REFORM BILLS WITH THE SENATE

Today, we had a productive session with the Senate to discuss the tax reform bills. A few days ago, we had a very engaging session with the House of Representatives.

We are grateful to the National Assembly for giving us the opportunity to speak to the bills and clarify possible grey areas and contentious issues.

We are confident that our lawmakers will consider the bills favourably in the overall interest of Nigeria and Nigerians.

1000% correct. It only forces the most talented and most resourceful to work under 'One Nigeria' which then makes them blunt and unproductive. The Yorubas are being held back by 'one Nigeria'.

Opposing improved VAT usage at source/state of generation, to ensure the ethos of fairness and healthy competition reflect on the judgement Government makes on behalf of the society, is the natural, progressive and equitable thing to do.

No SW State will oppose such yet we currently see the parasitic, backwards and beggarly North vehemently opposing the bill while their slaves in the SE rush to support the regressive antics of the North.

Whzt good can ever come from a system that only rewards the indolent and covetous, from the North and SE, while punishing those contributing the most to the central pots, like VAT, feeding our entire nation? One Nigeria is indeed horrendously holding back Yorubas who are an equitable and progressive people.

Please try and know the basics of any issue before you comment. The tax reform bill, when passed into law, will leave the common man much better off as it is mainly about more efficient and fairer collection of tax with with more equitable use of value added tax (VAT) by stakeholders at source of generation.

Only a fool will not appreciate that 'One Nigeria' is the biggest open scam in the world whereby those who are hardworking, peaceful, progressive and productive, plus committed to always doing the right things by Nigeria, are punished with the unfair commandeering of their cumulative output.

In contrast those who are lazy, beggarly, fundamentalist and terror-inclined , indolent and vagrant elements, who will not even stay in their States to improve them or demand better governance, are rewarded unfairly through receiving much more federal largesse than they deserve.

Why will those sort, receiving far more than they contribute, ever feel the need to work harder or be more productive when they can easily flee to the SW for succour and sustenance only to then be insulting, dragging and denigrating Yorubas 24/7?

He is another one who will realise, when it is too late to stop Jagaban, that Tinubu may not talk much but his will to get things done is far more dominant and effective than the show of noise and drama the likes of Ndume thinks will get them results.

Sometimes it takes a little time, the most import thing is you acknowledge that he's fit for the job, now allow him do the job.

I am neither an economist nor tax expert. But one thing holds true, you can only tax what is incoming or earned. I want to hear from other agencies like the Ports, customs, CBN e.t.c, what they are doing or plan to do to provide an enabling environment for small and medium scale businesses to flourish. Can we have a holistic and integrated approach that can work for everybody?

you can't educate a man who is blinded by emotion,who thinks that no other person can get it right except the one he supported during election as such they don't see and wish anything good for Nigeria

This government isn't talking about creating jobs at all but how to tax Nigerians to death further.

We are already taxed at all fronts even if it's done indirectly:

The savings accounts, bank transfers, incoming deposits, fixed deposits, stocks, mutual funds, Treasury bills, bonds, Letter of Administration, phone calls and data, items eatable and non eatable( including electricity meter and bills despite constant power failures and quarter currents) etc.

We never noticed this under PDP but tax is the hall mark of APC government even when there are no added value to their government's services.
