Honestly a lot of Nigerians especially on Nairaland deserve regular brain checks. Easily believing a widely known investigative journalist known for exposing rots in the system even with his life at risk is into oil bunkering is comical.

Commonsense should tell us some high-ranking military officials or politicians were about to be exposed & so they had to turn the table.

It's a shame how people would rather waste their brain power (or semblance of it) on a Big Brother Show or something of its kind.

It's easier enough for any reason deep thinker to know why he is among the illegal oil bunkerer. He infiltrated the gang of the oil thieves to get us a deeper story of deception among the Security units that supposed to be in charge guiding these pipelines. Fayombo is a name everyone knows as decent, intelligent award winning journalist. The Nigeria Army wouldn't want to understand because they stakeholder in stealing Nigeria oil. Let's wait and hear the real story when fayombo is out. That's the job of an investigative journalist, they subject themselves to level of whatever they are investigating so as to get first hand information for a better informed decision.

I remember I said in the earlier post that it may not have anything to do with Tinubu.
I just hope the Army will carry out thorough investigation and nail anybody involved in shaddy oil theft.

How will it be hard? You think he's a stupid person like some people? He's a professional investigative journalist that's infiltrated so many gang of dangerous individuals before. He just rounded the Customs smuggling ring at Idiroko, Ogun State where he pretended to be among the smugglers and revealed how top Custom men were being bribed so as to move cars, rice and other things inside the country without paying duty. He has done so many similar undercover investigative journalism severally. So, he wouldn't be held at all when he gets to court.He's doing his professional investigative journalism work...The army are just being funny and vindictive because the investigation was meant to nailed them in the first place. The Army including the Navy are the major units illegally selling Nigeria crude to foreign contacts...the other time, they were shooting at Tantiva security personnel at Bonny preventing the arrest of their illegal vessel that the Navy brought to come and load crude at Bonny....on sighting Tantita security coming towards them, the Navy/Army started shooting at Tantita security...

Maybe you guys will finally take serious what the undercover journalist has to report, this time about what he uncovered about the oil bunkering activities.

The Nigerian Military is heavily involved in oil bunkering. The arrest might be an attempt to cover-up about their oil bunkering activities which he might have been investigating.

Most likely Fisayo was doing undercover investigation of the military's involvement in oil theft. They got wind of it and went to arrest him at scene where he was interacting with oil thieves that doesn't know his real identity.
He has done similar investigative reporting on the Customs.

Am pretty sure he was doing undercover investigation of the military's involvement in oil theft. Similar to the he did on Customs and smuggling.
