Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has expressed serious concerns about a proposed tax reform bill, warning that it could have severe implications for the Northern region and other parts of Nigeria.

Governor Zulum claims that the bill is designed to unfairly disadvantage certain regions of the country. He urged President Tinubu to reconsider the bill, stating, "This isn't opposition. We believe this bill will completely devastate the North. We urge President Tinubu to review this decision. He received 60% of his votes from the North. He shouldn't listen to those saying the North isn't supporting him. What we need is the withdrawal of these tax bills."

Governor Zulum cautioned that if the bill is enacted, Northern states would face significant challenges in implementing development projects and even paying salaries.

How will the north suffer when they have the highest number of northerners in almost every ministries, department, agencies and military apparatus like the army, navy, air force, customs, NNPCL, bureau de change, nigerian port authority,ex head of states and even the richest man in Africa? They control the agricultural sectors and threaten to withdraw the movement of agricultural commodities to the south even though we are paying for the goods with our own money. What rubbish!

When these characters say the "North", you will think they are concerned about the ordinary people in the North. What you would not know is that just like their counterparts from other parts of the country, they are only concerned about the thieving elite.

This is why you hear statements like "the <put in your geographical indicator> has been neglected in this administration". On the other hand, the <geographical indicator> has cornered everything for themselves. Meanwhile, the uninformed morons will not realize that they are only talking about a few members of the rapacious elite.
