The Nigeria Tax Reforms Bill 2024 aims to simplify the tax system, potentially reducing the tax burden on individuals and businesses while improving government revenue for public services.

I think the bill makes some sense. This will push some states to work for their revenue and create reasonable competitive industries in their states.

Especially the states that specialise in destroying some "forbidden products" but are happy to collect revenue generated from those products in other states.

The bill essentially says "Enough!" to the saying "Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop."

To what extent has Tinubu impacted positively on the yearning and hope for which he was elected..

Inflation that should be one of the main focus is left to continue squeezing the poor masses..

Instead of this people to continue another four years, make rain fall abeg

Clueless moronz

Great

Education is the weapon against oppression. These politicians capitalize on the nation's high illiteracy rate. Thank God for social media, and also for Oloyede's leadership. The guy is simply too good at what he does.

Udume understands that if the guy and his team speak, he is done. Lol. And the senator in charge of this investigation is excellent. They would have killed it, as they always do with good things, or dragged it out for so long that they could make so much money every time they discussed it. Lol.

Nairalanders can now see that passing these bills is in our own best interests. Na style, we go get the regional government and resource control we have been asking for. Yes, there are always alternatives to getting what you deserve instead of turning to violence. We do not need Nnamdi Kanu and Ikpe's aggressive approach. Let us work together to strategically address Naija's challenges.

Everyone will soon start receiving what is rightfully his or hers. Na so ooo.

I dislike Tinubu and his gang members, but when I see positive results, I support them. This is great, and I support it.

Sapa for northern states

This is part of the restructuring we are talking about tongue

True Federalism πŸ”₯πŸ’―

States need working governors who will bring investments. Time for Northern States to maximize Minning and Agriculture.

Jagaban, man with the balls of steel tongue

State Police in the pipeline
Local government autonomy
Tax reform
Subsidy removal
Naira floating (fastest way to get rich before)

The fact that people earning below 1m annually will not be taxed and VAT on electricity, Food, Pharmaceuticals will be excluded I think the reform is a welcome devt. However People need to know that VAT on other Items will be 10% from 2025 and progressively increased as the years go by.

There seem to be a conspiracy between the Lagos media and the government to hide the most dangerous parts of this bill.

I've not watched the video yet, neither have I read the bill. But I know that since Northern politicians are vehemently opposing it, then it really must be a great bill that will be of great benefit to the country!
