If you are a believer in Christ, please don't buy into all these aggressions against tithe and offering. Those who pay their tithe and offering faithfully know how faithful God has been to them. The war is not because some people love God more than the believers but they have seen the blessedness of giving to God. They are being intimidated by the exploits done by the church and believers. To be blessed, you have to give. It is a law that works. So child of God, don't mind them.

Oga, I am not an Atheist but I know that if truly there exist a being that made the universe, he/she/it will never have any need for money. So only fake gods who masquerade as the real one will demand money from humans.

RELIGION requires MONEY so when God asked people to GATHER for WORSHIP MONEY will be needed to make things work well.

MONEY is needed to build a place where they will gather for worship, MONEY is needed to maintain the place, MONEY is needed to support the less privileged among them, MONEY is needed to host guests.

So GOD asked His worshipers to contribute MONEY for these necessary things but then no single individual should be in charge of donated funds it should be stored in a place where they will use it wisely to make things work well.

Before i met the Jehovah's Witnesses i heard from a white man saying that's the richest organization in the world in terms of assets but he adds: everything belongs to the group as a whole no human can withdraw money from their account because they have budgets which they stick to religiously and nothing can change it.
So Jehovah's Witnesses also contribute MONEY but it's hard knowing when they do because it's unannounced at their meetings only members know how the contributions are made you can attend their meetings for years without knowing how they are making contributions if you don't ask them.

Well written but you seem to forget that money is not for God but rather for underprivileged persons. Man made this system and everything in the system is driven by money; any that lacks, is doomed hence God collecting a certain portion to meet the needs of those in need is not bad. It's just the error or flaw in the overseer of God that prefers to use the money for other things. Whether those other things achieve the same kingdom impact is left to be seen.
