drerocker:There is just a tin line between WORSHIP and RELIGION both means reliance on something that is not visible but while RELIGION get you into the midst of many worshipers WORSHIP could be just you and whatever you choose to trust it could even be you worshiping yourself as in relying on your own ability to do things that seems impossible. So what does both involves? The two involves taking certain steps into your dreams while you focus on its success even though what you're seeing is only in your own mind alone! How realistic is this? We all take steps that we don't even know how it will turn out to be in life yet we work at such things with all our hearts hoping to see results as in positive results so realistically there are many things we can't see presently yet we work at it whole soul and most times such often yields positive result. Who is to praise when our effort yields result? This is where we have serious issues because when we finally achieve what we dreamed most don't even remember they started from nowhere like what they never saw with the eyes so after achieving it they speak as if it has always been there which everyone can do but how many people can work (whole soul) towards what they can't see? This is where the word FAITH comes in because it's the assured expectations of things we hoped for the evident demonstration of realities that no one can see! Hebrews 11:1 So if each person could succeed with faith then why do we need others around us? Remember that what you're working at is not visible so for you to continue without let up you need encouragement or commendation for each step you're taking towards success so we need a team with the same vision. How then can we get such a team in a world where selfishness and greed is rooted in the hearts of billions? This is where a supreme being comes to mind since you're not master over your fellow man it's not possible to make others join to support your own dreams there should be a selfless entity whose opinion stands out. •Now what do you know about African religion? •What do you know about the God/Gods that Africans worshiped in ancient times? •What is the purpose of this God/Gods? •What have they promised? •How have they fulfilled such promises? •What do they say about the purpose of life? These and many other questions should be of utmost importance to you before taking a step further into WORSHIP or RELIGION! 1 Like |

drerocker:Of course most people pray hoping they have been heard by someone listening so that's why you need to ask yourself: •What did (your God) promised? That's what should keep you going on with faith not just following the crowd simply because they are praying and you just feel like not been left out! 1 Like |

African traditional religion has got nothing to do with Christianity. Christianity was brought by those who came to enslave and today still oppressing us. African traditional religion is the most purest forms of reverence to the creator. It teaches us who we are and our roles in the scheme of things. It is our heritage. We don't believe a woman can become pregnant without the input of a man. It can't happen today and definitely did not happen 2009 years ago... We are educated on the divine laws of the universe. We call them odinala and omenala in Igbo language. It brings us closer to our creator and to nature our mother... We realize that we are one...and pour libation for our ancestors. Just like Hashem refers to the Jewish people as Israel and often uses the singular noun to describe them. We don't believe in human sacrifice or that the death of any man can bring us atonement. The people who do that belongs to demonic cults.... Atonement is attained by doing good deeds and confessing and forsaking your evil ways.. Chineke will forgive. We don't pretend to eat or drink the blood of any man. That is witch craft. We share and eat the kola nut after making declarations. We don't pray(beg) any deity. We make declarations (gor ofor)and they are established.. We use stories to remind ourselves of who we are and where we came from.. We are truly a unique people.. |
