Okay let's stop the insults then.

Just one question. Do you know that an order of court or a judgment must be registered in another state before it is enforced.

Guy if you don't know this stop arguing with me. I am a senior lawyer at the bar.

What is the meaning of bench warrant?

A bench warrant is an order by a judge or magistrate for the arrest or search of a person.

What I am telling you is that such a warrant from one state cannot be executed in another state without first registering the order in the high court of the other state.

Do you understand?

Please look at this link and try and understand the issues.

what makes u think the case has not being registered in d high court of Lagos?

So for u a junior lawyer to know this, what makes u think a lawyer with over 50 years experience won't know better?

Can you tell me what court the order was registered in, in Lagos.

Think carefully before you answer.

Afe babalola knows better than u could ever know

Before u think of it he has done it, u can't expect me to take a social media lawyer serious above a man that has over 50 years experience at d bar

Or do u have up to 20 years experience?

25 years at the bar. Is that good enough for you to take me seriously or must I be 90 years old first.

Listen to me seriously.

I am no junior lawyer.

I have told you that a judgment or order from one court in one state must be registered in another before it can be enforced.

I provided you a link for you to study.

Please study first before simply saying that Afe is 50 years at the bar so he must be right.

Dele didn't do anything wrong.

He only wrote a book exposing the criminal system in our judiciary.

For this, people abducted him and teleported him to Ekiti, where he cannot even be reached on his phones.

I am telling you: I am not a junior lawyer. I know these people well. Much weller than you might imagine.

Some of you are just not serious in trying to make this country work.
If you don't see heavy mutilation of ballots as something "serious " then you are just a bunch of a big joke.

Be objective and stop being emotional . Remove all the votes of Rivers state from all parties involved , will it change the outcome of the elections ? If it was widespread it is a different situation all together

Ok fair enough. Let's say I am 50.

I keep asking you the same question.

Was the order from a magistrate in Ekiti registered in Lagos before Dele was abducted.

This question is very simple.

Please address it.

Thank you.

🥴 Atiku Abubakar's silence means........
You have to ask yourself: if it were Obasanjo or Atiku that published a book and wrote those things about the old man, Afe Babalola, would he have acted as aggressively to use the police to go after him? That tells you something, doesn't it? It tells you that men like Afe Babalola, who claim to be a distinguished advocate of the law, have been corrupted by the Nigerian system and way of thinking just as much as the next door neighbour. They know no better than to flex the power they have, just because they can. It really says a lot about our Nigerian mannerisms.

Fair play you have an inside knowledge of the industry as a lawyer. However, the fact remains that this case has been dragging for months before it became public knowledge.

Dele was summoned around July by the court in Ekiti but he declined, clamming he won’t get a fair hearing and he’s based in Lagos. Dele deliberately misled his supporters in his press conference to play the victim card knowing what’s coming next

I expect you lawyers to encourage Dele to provide the evidence to substantiate his allegations and use this opportunity to sanitise the judiciary rather than arguing against his arrest and detention

The information pertaining to the order from the Lagos State court is available for you through the FOI bill

My question is, did Delete Farotimi defame Nigerian judiciary or Afe Babalola? I think something is not clear here, if Farotimi was accused of such defamation, doesn't it warrant being detained beyond the stipulated 24 hrs of detention? I supposed this is a civil matter and he has not shown some tendencies of disobeying court rulings. I don't think detaining him up until now is ideal.
Re: Only The Law Will Matter - Not Media Tactics Or Street Yelling — Afe Babalola by UnabashedIPOB: 9:26pm On Dec 07
Libel or Slander is NEVER a CRIMINAL offense in civilized societies but a CIVIL matter. The only recourse you have as one who was slandered or libeled is to sue the slanderer but NOT to use your position to intimidate citizens. Mr. Afe Babalola, supposedly a lawyer of great repute, ought to know better. But in Nigeria, folks like him always let you know at every turn their social status in the Nigerian corrupt society.
